Mondo was covered in batter, the silicone spatula in his hand being aggressively mixed into the recipe that Chihiro had recited to him.
A few days ago, his Kyoudai, whom he confessed to on Valentine’s Day, said he loved the homemade chocolates he made for him. After hearing that, Mondo was absolutely determined to make more sweets for Kiyotaka. So that was the situation. He got Chihiro in on it, too.
The problem was: Mondo was an extremely messy cook. Mix flew everywhere inside of the Hope’s Peak kitchen, Mondo desperately trying to ignore the look of concern that Chihiro had on his face.
“Hey Chi, don’t we need some more milk or somethin’…?” Mondo muttered out. He turned towards Chihiro, who was frantically trying to search recipes for sugar cookies.
“Uhm, according to this recipe, we actually need some eggs and butter, you know? You can’t just mix flour and milk together,” Chihiro wiped some of the batter from Mondo’s cheek,” I wonder how you even got Taka to like your sweets..” He hopped off from the chair he was sitting on, walking towards the butter.
Mondo groaned.
“Chi, I got some help from that bastard cook, ya know? The one with the chef hat and shit. Best chef, no wonder Taka liked them,” Mondo reached towards the eggs and brought them to the bowl he was mixing everything with.
“By the way, how many eggs?”
“One, I think?”
Mondo cracked one egg open and put it into the mix, Chihiro walking over to where Mondo was standing and doing the same with the butter. Chihiro scrolled through his phone yet again, searching for the next step.
“Hey, I think it says to put some vanilla extract too!” Chiro exclaimed, rushing to the closet that had cooking supplies. After putting it in the batter, Mondo mixed. That’d be a pain to clean…
The batter turned into dough. The biker started to separate them into little balls. After he finished, he lay them and put the fresh dough into the oven,
Well, now it was time to prepare the icing. Mondo walked over to the closet and got the ingredients to make it. He grabbed some sprinkles too, just to save time.
“Hey, do you want to do this design?”
It was a very, very embarrassing design of a heart with sprinkles. Leon and Hiro would most definitely make fun of him if they saw. Mondo flushed the second Chihiro showed him it.
“Chi... don’t ya think it’s too corny? I mean... jus’ look at the damn thing,” Mondo scratched the back of his head, a visible blush on his cheeks, “What if he finds it stupid or somethin’?”
“C’mon Mondo! I’m sure he won’t! Plus, we don’t have anything better to do, do we?” Chihiro cheered in an attempt to comfort Mondo. It seemed to work, as he heard a muttered out, ‘fine I guess we can..’. The programmer grinned and grabbed the materials Mondo had taken out. He started to work on the icing.
An hour later, a Ding! was heard from the oven. Mondo rushed to take the cookies out and quickly began to decorate them in the shape of hearts. After he was done with the icing of one cookie, Chihiro would put the sprinkles over them. This process was repeated until all the cookies were finally decorated.
Mondo wiped off a bead of sweat from his forehead after he was done putting the cookies in a cookie jar. With Chihiro, he exited the kitchen, ignoring the mess of it they’d (Mondo) created to go to Kiyotaka’s room. They’d clean it up later anyway, right?
Just when they were about to exit the cafeteria, a scream full of horror rang through the room. A scream full of horror from a very recognizable chef.
Mondo and Chihiro rushed out of the cafeteria. Perhaps they shouldn’t leave the kitchen so messy the next time...
