Denji likes girls. He had always known that from the moment he saw them. Their soft hair had always drawn his eyes like the stars in the night sky. Their soft skin made his face red and their beauty always shocked denji.
So Denji liked girls. That was a fact already known by most. But lately Denji has not just been looking at pretty girls In short skirts. But boys with nice smiles and clean hair. There was no specific boy he can think of. Unlike makima or Reza he could say with confidence he was in love with. But he would see boys walking down the street and stope, and blush. Just how he would when a nice lady would walk by. At first he found it gross. Whenever he would think of strong arms and short hair. He would scramble up to a dirty magazine he hides from aki and look at all the nice soft photos of boobs. But the thoughts always came back. And Denji is starting to think he can’t hide from those thoughts behind lude photos of lovely girls.
He was drowning in thoughts when Aki had come home. Denji had just met a boy at public safety that made his heart beat faster and face turn red with a simple hello. He was wallowing in confusion, even with the teen beach movie that was playing on. The soft curve of the lady’s couldn’t distract him like before. He hid his face in the cushions as he was thanking. That’s when the door opened. “ I’m home “ yelled Aki as he walked in taking off his jacket. Denji didn’t look up tell he Hurd more than one pair of feet walk in. Angel was also here. Now a days Denji has been seeing a lot of this angel guy. It was no secret that him and Aki had this thang going on. They never said it out right but it was obvious. If you didn’t take into a count the obvious favoritism Aki shows to angel. Maybe the fact he now wears black gloves everywhere he goes. Even if Angel Isn’t there. Or how they have lingering touches covered through fabric. Denji never understood Aki because of it.
Before the thoughts of pecs and short hair seeped into his mind. He believes Aki only liked Angel because he looked like a girl. Why would a man like another man ,When woman exists? But now Denji wonders wall watching Aki and Angel. How Aki seemed to revolve around Angel like the moon to earth. And how Angel looked at Aki like the moon to his sea. He wonders how they can love when they could never touch. Even taking into account his gazes upon men. The idea of never touching the ma- woman made his heart drop. Especially if he loved them. When Raze was still alive he believed he loved her like the sun. And the feeling of her skin against his was like therapy to him. But as he looks at Aki and Angel they never touch .Their eyes stay connected and their hearts are each others.
When Angel had gone and left and Power passed out. It only left Aki and Denji in the dark place he had started to call home. “ hay Aki, why do you like angel? “ Denji asked looking anywhere but him. “ why do you care ?” I don’t I’m just wondering how you know you loved a guy “ I always know I liked men more then woman if that’s what your asking “ Denji wanted to say yes and no. “ like it was always there, or didn’t it appear one day like ugh I don’t know “ Denji groaned as he shoved his head into the pillow. Aki looked over at Denji. “ do you like someone Denji ?” Asked Aki. Denji gave a muffled noise “ I don’t know what you said “ Denji groned louder as he raised his head. Aki eyes softened as he walked over and sat next to a the poor boy . “ I always knew I liked men but I never let myself like them “ Aki said as his eyes were on the tv. Denji also had his eyes glued to the tv. “ I tried to have something with Himno. I loved her just not love like she wanted, then I met Angel and I felt romantic love. “ but he doesn’t look like a guy, he doesn’t have muscles or short hair” so ? I don’t have to like anyone just based on how they look. Himno has more muscles and shorter hair, and I still didn't find her romantically attractive “ what about girls that looked like angel ?” Denji thought that was a silly question now that he thanks about it “ never mind “ Denji said as he pushed his head deeper into the pillow. “ Denji, what's going on with you? You always seem to know what you like, is something different? “
Denji didn’t want to say he finds men ‘ Romantically attractive ‘ but those thought were still nagging at his small head “ well I like girls “ obviously “ but guys have been looking nice too“ Aki hummed “ and if I like guys then why do I still think girls are nice looking. “ Denji ever thank you might like both “ both what ?” Both girls and boys ?” You can do that?” Asked Denji. Aki chuckled but nodded. “ Angel like Both girls and boys “ Aki said Denji tipped his head “ how did he know he liked both?” Aki shrugged “ that’s something you’ll have to ask Angel “ Denji made a face “ Aki chuckle “ he’s not that bad “ he’s kinda boring “ no he’s not ,he’s - he’s just a required tast“ Denji wrinkled his nose in confusion. “ you don’t have to talk to Angel about it if your uncomfortable “ Denji shrugged “ well he must know what’s it like to like both “ Denji said.
Angel looked up at Denji. Aki brought him over to hang today. It was smooth sailing till Aki asked if he wanted to talk to Angel. At first denji adamantly refused. Now being in front of the stone faced guy, He lost his nerves. He could talk to Aki but Angel…. Mmm. But after the feeling was nagging so much of his brain he lost in mario kart he nodded to Aki. Aki whispered something in Angels ear and dragged Power to go shopping. “So, what do you want ?” Asked the Angel devil as he chomped on some of the ice cream. He decided to get it over with fast and rip it off like band aid. “ how did you know you liked both girls and boys!” Angel slowed down on his chewing but didn’t stop. “ well you know what you like right ?” Denji shrugged “ you like girls boobs right ?” Denji nodded. Even with all this confusion he knows boobs are still grate. “ ok and you know you like dick “ now that stumped Denji. He’s never seen one other thin his. So he shrugged. Angel sighed and put down his spoon “ are you feeling the same feeling towards guys as you have for girls ?” Denji nodded but his face was still in a deep frown. “ then you like guys, “ but -“ even if you haven’t felt this feeling before, it didn’t mean it's not real. Denji you like who you like and you cant change it. I didn’t want to like Aki but I do” why didn’t you want to like Aki?” Asked Denji “ because it would hurt too much with our situations. But loving him now is better then loving him when he dies “ Angel said, standing up. “ what you feel is fine, don’t worry about it and love who you love or whatever “ Angel shrugged and put his melted ice cream in the freezer “ so I need to find my Aki ?” Wondered Denji “ you can’t go looking for love dummass. It’s something that happened and most of the time you don’t want it to. “ Angel muttered the last part “ well how did you know you liked Aki “ Denji wondered “I don’t know! It was a slow process, can’t really pinpoint when I started to like the guy “ Angel said.
Denji watch as Angel and Aki kissed goodby. Well kiss as in Aki kissed his hand that was on angel head so they won’t touch. Denji thanks he’s started to understand liking guys. But he still wonders how you could love someone you can’t touch. When he went to work and suffered throw a failed conversation with a handsome man. The guy patted him on his shoulders and gave him a really pretty smile before leaving. Denji shoulder felt like it was on fire for the rest of the day. He thought about kissing the man multiple times and seeing him naked. But his imagination stoped when he saw Angel eating ice cream next to Aki ,they weren’t touching. How can they survive with out touching? Denji has learned if you have a question, ask. So that’s what he did. He walked up to them and asked “ how do you date of you can’t touch ?” He’s getting bolder “ mutter Angel as he licked his cone “ because I really like the touch the guy gave me so how do you guys go about it ? How do you have se-“ Denji “ Aki worned. He plopped down next to angel and looked at the pair “ what ?” Angel asked glaring at Denji “ don’t you love one another ? “ yes Denji we do, that’s why we don’t touch “ I though you don’t touch one another is because Aki will die “ Angel sighed louder “ that is why we don’t touch , yes we would like to and we find ways around it, but we like one another enough to for go without touching, if it means being together longer “ angel Muttered out . Aki smiled down at Angel. His eyes softened and all Denji could see was love ( gross ) “ that was nicely worded” Aki said. Angel rolled his eyes and pulled Aki up “ whatever, stope all the question chainsaw boy “ Angel said and dragged Aki away
The guy kissed Denji. So Denji ran back home and hid in his room to till he Hurd Aki come home. Angel was not with him but Denji thanks this Isn’t the guy who kills people with a touch is his area of expertise “he kissed me! “ yelled Denji as he came running next to Aki who hadn’t even took off his cote “ who ?” The guy “ what guy ?” The guy that gave me a gay crises “ oh “ Aki said nodded but Denji, still thanks he doesn’t understand “ he kissed me “ oh ! Go you “ Aki said putting groceries away. “ what do I do “ well what did you do ?” Ran away” Denji “ Aki said looking at him “ what, I didn’t know what to do ?!” Defend Denji “ did you kiss him back ?” I don’t remember “ Aki rolled his eyes. “ we’ll tell him you like him “ easier said than done “ muttered Denji as he leaned agents the counter “ how will the guy know you like him if you don’t tell him, imagen how you would kissed a pretty guy or girl and they ran away” like shit and they hate me “ muttered Denji “ so do you like him ?” Denji stayed quiet “ you don’t have to know just yet, but at least tell him to let you figure it out “ Aki said.
Denji texted him he needed time to thank. The guy took it well saying hill Wait for his answer with a heart emoji. That’s a good sign ?? Denji didn’t know what a healthy relationship looked like. Let alone a guy on guy healthy relationship. He tried reading yoie but that only gave him a boner and even he could see that was not realistic. Some of the story’s reminded him of makima and he knows for sure she’s not a healthy relationship. So he looked around him. And the only good example he found was Aki and Angel. So he started to watch them interact more. See if he felt the same way one of them felt for each other. Obviously he didn’t find Aki or Angel hot. But he wondered if he had the same reaction to him that Angel and Aki did to one another. It took him a week of Constant starting at Aki and Angel to figure it out. He was in love. So he dragged Aki and Angel into helping him tex him to tell him he likes him back “ why am I here “ mutter Angel as he leaned heavily on Aki side “ we’re supporting Denji “ whispered Aki “ why should I care “ just be quiet and nod I’ll do most of the talking” you better, he’s been annoying all week “
They were dating. Luckily Denji doesn’t have to worry about Makima killing him like Reza. But he still has to worry about, how the hell do you be a boyfriend? He has never had a partner so how do you be a good boyfriend. So he started to ask Aki and Angel advise “ what should I text him back ?” Should I do this ?” You guys do this but should I do something different “ he thought This was a good deal till Aki sat him down “‘look Denji I know your confused on being in a relationship but me and Angel can’t tell you a step by step on this kind of thang “ Denji cocked his head “ why not ? “ because it’s not our relationship. You have to figure out how to be a good partner on your own, “ but how do I know if what I do is right? “ Aki shrugged “ that’s the point of a first relationship, you need to see what makes a relationship work and how you fit into it, mine and Angel relationship is vary different from yours , so our experience are different” Denji nodded “ you need to find out how to be good for him and yours sake “
The relationship didn’t last forever. And the end was heartbreaking for Denji. Denji at first thought it was all his fault. He wanted to ask Aki and Angel for help. But he knew he could figure it out on his own. He believed what he did was what he could do. He loved him to Denji fullest and if that wasn’t enough then that’s ok. Because Denji can’t go and look for love. He’s learned that by now. He still asked questions. But now Denji is able to understand. He understands he can’t help how he feels. But that also means he can’t help what others feel. And how to be a good partner is hard but oh so worth it if you do it right. He knows its ok to like both girls and boys. And he knows it ok to trust yourself in being a good partner. He may not of found his aki or angel. But hill find it. And hill have a better relationship then those two.
