Less than an hour to go, and Nirei could pull out his stomach with his bare hands, draw an X on his throat and rip out his vocal cords, pull out every single eyelash, and rot in that room.
He was sure that if his mother saw him like this she would let him skip school, maybe he should pretend he was sick, he had always been very sickly and there was a chance his mother would believe him.
Or he could go back to begging her on his knees, throw away the last dignity he had left, cry and puke his guts out.

He's good at reading people and it's sadly obvious how they look at him with pity, the same look they give to the people they help, he shouldn't be the one receiving the same look, when he's supposed to be at their side, to be at the same level, to be their ally.
He knows this because Suo or Sakura would never receive a look like that, even if Sakura caused an imminent need to help him, not even when they were helping Anzai with his unfortunate situation. Nirei could never see that kind of look directed at any of his classmates except him, it hurt him, just a little, it felt like a needle stuck in his skin, small and harmless, it could almost be ignored, but it never goes away, in fact, in the moment someone touches the
needle, the pain returns.Or

Kuroo's house was quiet, contrary to what was expected from the safe and reliable image he had formed over the years, Kuroo's house is really quiet, although it was the least he expected after years of screaming, broken glass and pillows to minimize the arguments, after all his family of four ended up becoming Kuroo and whoever was there, Kuroo and the few times his father tried to act like what that man was, his father, Kuroo and his grandparents when they found the time to be with him, or most of the time Kuroo and kenma, games, not very quality food and meaningless disputes, but still silent, kuroo wished that it were nostalgic for when it was a noisy house, but along with the noise came violence. And maybe it was a bit boring and lonely, he preferred silence a thousand times.
