MarshmallowMarbles: Welcome all!! Ik most of you haven't met each other but it might be beneficial to get to know each other before we begin playing Dragon’s Curse :D this is an lgbt friendly group ofc so feel free to use your chosen name & pronouns

JCosay: no I asked my mom to buy me a bunch of different ones and I ate them at lunch because I heard coconut milk was good for you

JCosay: I think they made up the thing about it being contraband and they just got tired of me bringing whole coconuts to school every day

JCosay: which isnt unreasonable but still sad :(

MarshmallowMarbles: On my very first day at school I see this guy, walking into the lunchroom. 

MarshmallowMarbles: carrying his lunchbox like any normal dude

MarshmallowMarbles: he sits next to me, and we start talking about how I'm new and he left his old group of friends because they were jerks so we both needed new friends

MarshmallowMarbles: and all of a sudden out of nowhere

MarshmallowMarbles: he pulls AN ENTIRE COCONUT out of his lunchbox like that was a totally normal thing to do

JCosay: well you didn't say anything!!!

MarshmallowMarbles: what was I supposed to say??????

MarshmallowMarbles: “oh hey cool coconut where'd you get it”

JCosay: yes????

MarshmallowMarbles: oh great, well now I know for the next time this very specific scenario happens

Luzura06: AO3 is generally higher quality, though not always, and is strictly for fics, whereas Wattpad is where the cliche of “my mom sold me to one direction” came from and is responsible for some individual published novels

Bingbong: you'd think it was a porn site with the way Marcy left 

Luzura06: some people get reaaaally weird about fanfic, they probably just weren't willing to risk you judging her for it

BusinessGoose: I have a friend who introduced me to the site and has an account but refused to tell me her username 

BusinessGoose: the fandom she's into primarily is really small so I think I found her account anyway lol-

JCosay: I do have practice on Wednesdays but usually I get out of practice at 4:30 so we could do sessions after that time?

BusinessGoose: yea, since school starts so early and some students may not have time for it at home. They start serving it at 6

BusinessGoose: I got blueberry, I don't like chocolate much

Luzura06: school should start at 9, at the earliest :(

BusinessGoose: they would probably move dismissal time to make up for it and I'm not willing to sacrifice that

Luzura06: augh you're right

Bingbong: I used to live out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and had to get up at six just to make it on time, this is a huge improvement

Luzura06: why did you move out here anyway if you don't mind me asking?

Bingbong: long story short, my parents got divorced, my dad was offered a better job out here but the transfer had to be quick, so he and his friends (Jesse's parents) worked out a thing where he could stay with them for a bit while looking for a new place. I had my own issues and whatever so I asked if I could stay with them too and they let me, so here we are.

BusinessGoose: so are you moving again??

Bingbong: eventually yea

Bingbong: I'm staying in this school ofc but at some point in the next six or so months I'm moving out of Jesse's house

Bingbong: it all depends on how fast the real estate guys move and how fast my dad decides on a new place

JCosay: :(

Bingbong: he's specifically looking for a place in town dude

TheSun: Are you free after school tomorrow? I had some project ideas I would like to share.

Bingbong: Yea

Bingbong: where and when

TheSun: The school library stays open until 5. I was thinking we could go at dismissal time?

Bingbong: that works

TheSun: Lovely.

     Lake trudges into the library, very thoroughly regretting agreeing to this. All they want right now is to get on the bus and go back home, but it'd be rude to ditch Chara just because they’re tired of school. With any luck, this project thing will go by quickly.

     Chara is already there when Lake enters, sitting at a table on their phone, likely waiting for Lake. Lake drops their schoolbag on the ground next to the seat across from Chara at the table they're sitting at. “So. Chemistry. Yay.”

     Chara looks up and puts their phone back in their pocket. “Greetings. I had some ideas for the project.”

     “Yea, you said that,” Lake says.

     Chara tells Lake their ideas, which Lake is only minimally interested in. They listen anyway because they don't want to screw themself over by not doing their part of the project and earning themself a bad grade as a result. Lake adds in a few thoughts of their own, and before they know it, almost half an hour has passed.

     “We should probably wrap up. My ride’s gonna be here in a few minutes,” Lake says.

     “Ah, alright. I will begin an outline and send you my class notes. We’ll see if we can get anything out of them,” Chara offers.

     “Cool, thanks,” Lake says. 

     Their phone buzzes. It's Frisk, sending the group chat a photo of some dogs they met. A little one that looks like it saw a man die, and a golden retriever. Though, small dogs just generally have that look to them. 

     Reminded of Frisk by their message, Lake asks, “So why’d you ask me about Frisk and Luz?”

     Chara looks up at them from where they're putting their books in their bag. “Pardon?”

     “You asked if I was friends with them a while ago,” Lake says.

     “Oh, that,” Chara says. “They- well, Frisk specifically - have a reputation around the school for being bi and nonbinary respectively. Word travels, you know? And they actually helped me build the nerve to finally come out.”

     “Oh, so it's like an admiration thing?” Lake asks.

     “I suppose so. Why?” Chara answers.

     Lake shrugs. “Frisk thought you didn't like them and asked me to figure out why.”

     “It's not that at all, not by any means,” Chara assures quickly, looking quite worried.

     “Cool, I’ll let them know,” Lake says. “Did you wanna walk with me out to the parking lot?”

     “Ah, no. My mom works at the elementary school, so I have to wait for her to get off work to drive me home,” Chara explains.

     “I’ll see you tomorrow then,” Lake says.

     “Goodbye, Lake,” Chara says.

     “See ya.”
