   Summary

   There was something happening. Although I retained my human-seeming form it was my cat’s green, vertically slit eyes that stared out of a human face. I floated in the background while my cat self-assessed the situation dispassionately. The only way I had survived my captivity was by breaking. My cat could tolerate and handle pain better than I could so I hid while she took the damage that the witches inflicted on me.

   When the Columbia Basin Pack successfully raids one of the Hardesty family's places of power Ben discovers a shapeshifter in a cage, a jaguar shifter who has Sherwood's missing leg attached below her knee.
