Chapter Text
Adora prepared for her monthly visit to Dryll. It was more than a friendly visit: she was going as Hordak's parole officer. It was part of the accord he and Entrapta made with Queen Glimmer, so the scientist would be allowed to install her beloved clone in Crypto Castle after they had finished Beast Island in less than one year , much for the royals' disappointment and in spite of occasional interruptions, whenever the Best Friends needed Entrapta's help.
Glimmer had first decided that one member of the royal guard should supervise him. However, only a few officers agreed to the take the burd... err, the task and all of them were less than professional in their grudge against the former Enemy Number One of Etheria and on their prejudice against Entrapta. The last one had provoked Hordak deliberately so she would have some excuse to lock him up. Hordak was smart enough to not fall for that until an insult to Entrapta made him pick up the disrespectful officer by her shoulders and drop her out of the castle with a rumbling "GET - OUUUT!" as Baker, Soda Pop and Busy applauded.
Fortunately, the testimony of Entrapta's outraged employees' and her recording of the officer's insults got Hordak off the hook. The officer was demoted and Adora volunteered to be Hordak's parole officer until the royals found someone else they could trust. She didn't mind; to be honest, she enjoyed their visits, although Swift Wind clearly did not.
"Do you really have to supervise Hordak?" he complained, as he always did as they flied to Dryll.
"You didn't have to take me. I told you I could pilot a skiff ." Adora retorted by the unpteenth time.
"As if I would let you fly in that old thing. And you know what I mean. Glimmer already must have found someone to replace you!"
"Look, I understand you don't like Hordak, but it's not like you haven't given him any reasons to dislike you."
"Just because I asked him if he was wearing a thong?"
Adora showed the palms of her hands and said "duuuh".
"It was very windy that day! I needed to know if I would have to look away if the wind lifted up that stupid dress he always wears!" the alicorn protested as if that was a very natural question.
"And he was right when he said you were not anyone to talk because... what was the word?" Adora paused, pretending she had forgotten just to increase Swift Wind's embarassment.
"Stop..." his plea fell in deaf ears.
"' That you were not anyone to talk since you imposed to everybody the sight of your anus.'" Adora finished, making a terrible imitation of Hordak's voice "Catra nearly died laughing when I told her."
"I don't impose anything to anybody! No one is forced to stand behind me! Besides, pants are very uncomfortable."
"At least you and Hordak agree with that," Adora concluded humorously.
