Summary
Killian hadn’t come this far in life to be brought down by something that belonged in one of those science fiction books Liam had loved so much. Retrospectively, perhaps Killian should have given them a chance instead of mocking his brother’s reading choices. Alas, at the time he was far too deep into his angsty punk phase as a teenage boy which arguably, he’d never really departed from. And besides, how was he supposed to anticipate a bloody apocalypse?
(Perhaps by educating oneself, brother? Almost as if those ‘bloody books’ may evoke something? Critical thinking perhaps? A greater knowledge of one’s world?)
Hindsight was 20/20 he supposed.
Otherwise known as, local man spends several days with a prepubescent child in the apocalypse and gets dragged kicking and screaming into being a somewhat decent man by everyone around him.
