Summary
Bertholdt is afraid. He's afraid of going home, he's afraid that he'll never be able to. He's afraid that Reiner is slipping away from him, and he's afraid that he'll never get him back.
It's been four years since Bertholdt, Reiner, and Annie came to Paradis to uncover the truth about the Founding Titan. At the start of their final year in the Training Corps, they are offered a perfect opportunity to find it: a one-month residency program inside Wall Sina, working alongside both Garrison and Military Police officers. All three of them know they have no choice but to accept.
Joined by the best of of their class, the Warriors head for the Ehrmich district. Bertholdt, Reiner, and Annie are joined by Eren, Mikasa, and Armin as they form an investigation team devoted to uncovering the truth about Ingrid's murder. Trapped in a dangerous game, Bertholdt is forced to confront secrets of the Walls that he never could have imagined.
