Akutagawa nervously stood outside the Agency's front door, his hand tightly gripping the small box of chocolates he had bought earlier that day. He had been rehearsing what he was going to say to Atsushi in his head all morning, but now that the moment had arrived, he couldn't remember any of it.
Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door, trying to ignore the way his heart was pounding in his chest. After a few moments, the door swung open and Atsushi appeared, looking surprised to see him.
"Akutagawa-kun? What are you doing here?"
Akutagawa's throat felt dry as he tried to speak. "I...uh...I wanted to give you these." He held out the box of chocolates, feeling a blush creep up his neck.
Atsushi's eyes widened in surprise as he took the box. "Wow, thank you! I wasn't expecting this."
Akutagawa shuffled nervously, trying to gather his thoughts. "I...I know it's Valentine's Day, and I thought maybe we could...go out or something."
Atsushi's face lit up with a smile. "That sounds great! I was actually going to ask you the same thing."
Relief flooded through Akutagawa's body as Atsushi stepped closer to him. "I'm glad you came, Akutagawa-kun," he said softly. "I was hoping we could spend some time together today."
Akutagawa's heart swelled with happiness as he looked into Atsushi's eyes. "Me too, Atsushi-kun," he whispered, feeling his nerves dissipate.
With a smile, Atsushi took his hand, and they walked out of the Agency together, ready to enjoy their Valentine's Day together.
