Work Text:
Gopal yawned in boredom.
His hand busied placing books on its rightful place at history section.
Once in a while they will go to the library to search information about their latest mission or maybe casually lounging around on their day off.
[It was mostly Yaya and Ying though.]
Blindly, he picked another book on the rack and read the title that were written on the book.
BERSAMA KITA BERJUANG!!
It was not a book, it was their photo album.
He face broke into a grinned(this is where it was all along) and flipped open the first page.
Each page he flips, laughter doesn’t fail to escape from his lips.
His laughter gains the attention of a confused Boboiboy and the girls.
“What are you laughing at?” Boboiboy asked while scratching his cheek.
Ying and Yaya silently looked at their interaction with interest swimming in their eyes.
Gopal grinned at them and show the photo album before them with raised brow.
“Did you remember this photo album?”
Their face light up in recognition.
Fang recently return from his latest mission with his team and he was tired as hell.
He was about to passed the library when faint laughter was heard from behind the automatic door of the library.
Curious, he enters the library and heightening his hearing sense to search the source of the laughter with tiredness long forgotten. He turns his head left and right before pining the location. The spiky haired teen perked up when he saw his best friends huddle close with each other looking at something that were placed on his Indian’s friend hand with amusement and exasperation.
“What were you all looking at?” his question gained a flinch from each of them as a response. He leaned forward a bit to get a clearer view of the thing that keep most of their attention.
…And immediately regretted it.
“What the-! When were this taken!?” he exclaimed in horror seeing his youthful face in the photo were filled with writing and drawings.
He moved his gaze from the photo and saw another embarrassing photo taken without his knowledge.
A photo from when he was affected by Emotion Y concoction.
He moved his eyes again.
His eyes flitted from one photo to another until his eyes suddenly stopped at one photo; his childhood photo wearing penguin onesies.
“The hell!” he shouted before snatching the book away from their grasps.
He held it close to his chest and asked.
” Where did you even get that photo!?” Ying’s face devolves into her Satan’s façe.
“From your brother of course” she said before laughing evilly.
All of them [except Yaya] inched away from Ying, sensing a disturbing aura surrounding her.
Yaya shook her head and smacked Ying’s head lightly with a roll up magazine in her hand and said sternly to her.
“Behave”
She grumbled in response.
Gopal extended his hand to Fang.
“Give it back, we want to see the photos”
Fang shook his head and held it tightly to his chest, frowning.
“There’s my embarrassing photo in it” he refused.
Boboiboy rolls his eyes and places his hand on his hips, face set in a deadpanned expression as he started to speak.
“Chills dude, we have been best friends for how long? Two? Three?”
“Me, you, Gopal and Ying have been for five years while all of us with him only have been for four years” Yaya answered on behalf of him.
“Yea, what she said-what don’t look at me like that, I’ve always been a forgetful person, don’t judge” he said defensively when he saw all of his friends giving him a ‘really, Boboiboy?’ look.
“Anyhow, the point is, we best friends doesn’t care how ugly you are in a photo” Fang face twitches. “Or how embarrassing it is, we simply laughed and mocked each other, playfully of course. After all that’s what best friends do with each other…” he said.
The spiky haired teen held a conflicted expression, mulling over the words that were spoken by his friend. All of them understand that it was hard for Fang to understand what friendship really meant, when he lives in isolation after his parent sudden death and his always kind and cheerful brother became distant to him.
To other people, Fang seemed distance and cold but in reality, he craves for someone to be there beside him as his friends.
These thoughts make them remember the day where Fang and them form a friendship with each other. They were glad they could clear up their misunderstanding that day with their friend through their misshapen adventures together to get the antidote for the Emotion Y effect.
Sometimes, friendship are struck in an unlikeliest places or in their case, situations.
“There’s also Boboiboy embarrassing moments caught on camera~” their reminiscing was broken by Ying's words.
Fang stared.
And stared.
“Show me!” he demanded with excited grin, forgetting the early slight of him.
“Woi!”
