Work Text:

ango and oda swayed side to side on the balcony, with oda's arms wrapping around ango's waist, and ango's arms wrapping around oda's neck. the cigarette had burnt out in ango's hand while they repositioned themselves, so when they were finished, he just threw the cigarette bud towards the ashtray on the glass table. oda had noticed that it started drizzling and checked the time. it had read '22:58PM'. he just disregarded it and and embraced ango closer and tighter.

"it's starting to drizzle." oda whispered into ango's ear. he could feel ango shiver a little when he whispered into his ear and snickered.

"do you want to go back inside?" ango asked with a look of disappointment on his face, as he lifted his head from oda's neck. he just stared at ango for a moment or two, watching the droplets of rain water gather in his hair, and goddamnit, he was beautiful. he moved his hands down to ango's hips. the redhead then lifted a hand, and brushed the dark haired man's cheek with the back of his fingers. he adored the way ango leaned into his touch, like he didn't want it to leave, but was too scared to cling onto it. oda simply rubbed ango's cheek two or three more times, before cupping his cheek with one hand, and keeping the other on his hip. he watched as the look of disappointment, turned into one of content. he gazed at his face, eyes brushing over the features that were softened by the light, before answering.

"not for the world." oda answered.

"but do you mind if we go down to the road, doll?" oda asked sweetly.

"of course not." ango smiled as he held hands with oda.

oda brought them through the apartment and took off his slippers, while ango did the same. they ran through the door, and flew down the stairs barefoot, with their hands and fingers still intertwined with each other. you wouldn't be able to separate them, even if you wanted to. by the time they had gotten through the apartment building doors, and then outside, the rain had begun to pick up, and no longer was the light drizzle like it was before.

they spun around together in circles, dancing to inaudible music, that was only in their heads. they spun until they got dizzy and wanted to throw up, but even that didn't stop them from chasing after each other barefoot in the rain. they laughed wholeheartedly and open-mouthed. they laughed and smiled until their cheeks burned. they continued to chase after each other while laughing, as if they were children playing a game of tag. and maybe they were children. or maybe they should be allowed to be children. they both were under the stress of work and adult-life, so maybe acting like a child wasn't so bad. to be able to have fun and not worry about the consequences afterwards was refreshing for them.

every single thought had been shaken off, and replaced with the thought of the other. all oda could think about was ango, and all ango could think about was oda. they both felt so much ecstasy, that it felt almost unreal. they just laughed and danced and played down the city streets. oda and ango were just having fun. they spun and danced silly, until they were on the ground curling up in balls because their stomach hurt from laughing. they felt like they couldn't breathe, but it was okay, because they were happy and that's all that mattered. they sat up, onto the curb of a sidewalk, in the pouring rain, and just looked at each other with the most love in the world. they both gazed at each other sick with affection and adoration.

ango endeared the way that oda's steel blue eyes shined brightly and how the rain soaked his hair. he looked as if he were a boy again, and all of his worries were playing, doing chores, and homework. god, the way ango loved oda could not be described in words. the only way he could ever express his love for oda would be in actions, there were simply not enough words in the dictionary to explain the way ango felt towards oda.

oda just studied the way ango's hair looked while he watched the rain soak it, and the droplets fell onto the lenses of his glasses. he adored how childish ango looked with his hair wet, and how his golden eyes shined too.

they both looked and felt so full of life and energy, almost as if they were kids again. both of them had missed the feeling of overwhelming happiness and joy when they played around with friends, or in this case, boyfriend of almost two months. they missed the feeling of being free. it had felt like they had been locked in a cage ever since they entered the adult-life. and now, they knew what it meant to be free. to be without any restraints or restrictions or rules. here, they were the ones that made the rules, and no one could judge them.

it was only them who would be able to enter the little world they had created together.

ango had laid down on his side so that he was facing oda, and tapped him, insisting that he also lay down with him. oda got the hint and laid on his side so that he was facing ango. they just laid there, no one and nothing was bothering them. ango then reached his hand out to oda's cheek, it wasn't a far reach though, they were quite close in distance actually.

"is it ok if i kiss you?" ango uttered.

oda blushed slightly, and placed his hand over ango's.

"of course you can doll." oda said softly, his words dripping in passion and tenderness.

ango leaned in until he could feel oda's breath on his face. he stopped momentarily to admire the beauty oda held, then finally went in all the way. their lips touched and shared warmth in the cool rain. they moved their lips together, and then cupped both of oda's cheeks with both hands. he tilted his head so he could kiss him better. he pulled ango closer towards him and caressed his torso. they kissed until they were breathless. both broke into a fit of laughter as they laid against the sidewalk, laughing until they were clutching their stomachs again.

they both quieted down and just laid there. both just gazed into each other's eyes. ango started to sit up as the rain had let up a little with oda following after him, also sitting up. they stood up and intertwined their fingers together.

"let's go home." ango said fondly and with a wide grin on his face.

"let's." oda said in return, the same wide smile and giggling.

they walked to their shared apartment hand in hand.
