That night, Muni was working on her art as usual. However, in the middle of her activities, she heard her cell phone ringing beside her. She immediately opened her cell phone and saw Rei's name on it.
"Hello Rei, what's wrong with calling at this time of night?"
"Oh, am I bothering you now Muni-san? Then sorry, maybe later,"
"No really, just say it,"
After that, not a single voice was heard. Muni thought that Rei was a bit hesitant to say it, so she waited patiently.
Maybe this is quite a hard thing for her. Muni thought.
However, how wrong her assumption was when she heard what Rei said afterwards.
"Do you have any pet names suggestions for Rinku, Muni-san?"
Now it was Muni's turn to be silent. She couldn't figure out why, of all the people she knew, Rei would ask such advice to someone with no experience like Muni?
She sighed before answering, "Look Rei, are you sure I'm the right person for your problem?"
"Eh? Aren't you the one who lent me that shoujo manga?"
"Not that I have any experience because of that. You know what, just call her from what's in your heart."
"My...heart,"
"Yes, think of what comes to mind when you see Rinku,"
"I see...thank you Muni-san. And sorry to interrupt, good night,"
That was the last sentence she said before finally hanging up. Muni could only pray for Rei's success.
Since her conversation with Muni that night, Rei still couldn't find any pet names that would be suitable for Rinku. She couldn't focus at all.
Even when all the HapiAra members gathered to discuss their next live, she still looked pensive.
Seeing that her girlfriend, who had been silent, decided to approach her. "Rei-chan? Is something wrong?"
"Nothing at all, my sunshine," she said reflexively due to her surprise.
The whole room was suddenly silent. The only things Rei could catch at that moment were Maho who had a surprised face, Muni with a nosy smile, and most importantly Rinku whose face was already as red as a tomato.
Realizing what she had just said, she hastily denied it with a face just as red as Rinku's.
Ugh, why did she call her that? She think.
But, deep down in her heart, she know that Rinku is a sunshine for her life.
"Heee, I didn't think you could think of such pet names," Muni said with a nosy smile that had yet to disappear from her face.
The day ended with a conversation about Rinku and Rei.
On the way home, they were silent, still thinking about what had just happened.
Unable to bear this silence, Rei decided to open the conversation.
"U-umm, Rinku-san. About what happened earlier, I apologize profusely," she said and bowed her body.
Rinku looked surprised, but she quickly responded.
"Rei-chan? You don't need to apologize, I'm actually happy."
"Eh?" It was Rei's turn to be surprised. When she raised her head, the sight of a shy Rinku with a red tinge on her face was clearly displayed before Rei's eyes.
Cute, she thought.
"O-of course I was surprised, but underneath it all, I love it when you call me that," she said with a smile.
"So, am I allowed to call you that?"
"Of course, but when it's just the two of us, okay?"
Rei chuckled, then took Rinku's hand. "Alright, babe. Anything for you."
"Mouu, I never knew you were such a nosy person Rei-chan,"
"Are you disappointed?"
"Not at all."
They walked home holding hands.
