I (37, M, Human) have been working closely with another engineer (35, F, Cardassian) for a short while, and I assumed we were getting on like water and oil. She had some preconceived notions about how “men are too emotional to be engineers” and how they’re “better suited for the military”, and I know that I’m a damn good engineer so I tried not to let this get to me.
And then something curious happened. It seemed she was coming on to me, after spending so much time berating me. I had to bring up that I was married, and she was rather shocked and appalled by this.
Apparently, Cardassians flirt by arguing! Who would have thought. I feel I really gave off the wrong impression here, as she accused me of leading her one. But how the hell was I supposed to know about that? I’m not a Cardassian!
Edit: I told my wife about the situation, she got a bit of a laugh out of it and told me to remember for next time.
Edit 2: stop asking how hot the Cardassian lady was. I’m not going to cheat on my wife. You sick fucks.
