ain't it like this town to only criticise a woman

Summary:

Part four of my 6 part series based on Kelsea Ballerini's new EP Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (if you haven't heard it, I highly recommend it).

Based in season 11 when Derek is in DC.

I don't own the song or the show.

Notes:

Song is the Interlude and it's honestly the best interlude I've ever heard, lyrics are so good I wish it was a full song.

Because it's the interlude it's a little different from the other chapters!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Apparently he had no idea .”

“I heard she’s been cheating on him the whole time he was in DC.”

“I heard that too, honestly I don’t even know why I’m surprised . We all knew what she was like before him. Remember the guy with the broken penis?”

“Yes! And remember how she went through every man who ever frequented Joe’s.”

“Speaking of Joe’s, did you hear her and Dr Torres were there getting absolutely trashed the other day and now, Dr. Torres isn’t even talking to her.”

“I don’t think anyone is talking to her. We may not know exactly what happened but if all their friends have taken his side, you know she’s in the wrong.”

“Actually, you know who has barely left her side?”

“Who?”

“Dr. Karev.”

“Oh my god, I always thought they were a little too close. I guess we know what happened then.”

“God, that woman is horrible . Not only has she ruined Dr. Shepherd's life, she’s also ruined Dr. Wilson’s.”

“Are you really surprised? I think we were all too quick to forget that she did ruin his first marriage.”

“True. I guess some people just never change.”

Notes:

I actually really love this part just because it really shows that people will make whatever assumption fits best with their opinion.

Thank you to those who have left kudos! Let me know what you think!
