"Wow, it's so cozy,"
"Yeah, I don't want to get out from here,"
Rei was currently visiting Rinku's house, having been invited by her the day before. Saying that she had just bought a new kotatsu and wanted her and Rei to try it first.
Upon arrival, she was greeted with great fanfare by Rinku, and went straight into the warm kotatsu.
After a long and cold journey, Rei's efforts were finally rewarded here.
However, a new problem arose for them. The kotatsu was too cozy that they didn't want to leave.
And to make matters worse, they were alone at the time, since Rinku's parents were traveling out of town.
"Nee Rei-chan, can you get me a drink on the table over there?" said Rinku who was currently lying down lazily.
Rei who was also too comfortable with the kotatsu, lazily responding to Rinku, "Maybe you can get it yourself. After all, it's closer to you than to me,"
"Ehhh, what's wrong with helping this girlfriend of yours?"
"But Rinku-san...for some reason I feel so lazy,"
"Hmm...never mind, I'm not that thirsty either,"
Silence was created between them. It was a very comfortable night, too comfortable even.
Feeling that this situation should be left like this, Rinku suggested something. "Say Rei-chan,"
"Hmm?"
"How about we play a game? The loser must obey the request of the winner. Interested?"
Rei's face, which had been slumped on the kotatsu table, immediately woke up and looked at Rinku with sparkling eyes. Seeing that, Rinku sensed danger and immediately added.
"Bu-but, it has to be within normal limits,"
"Okay. What do we want to play then?"
Rinku thought for a moment, then an imaginary light bulb appeared in her head.
"For starters, how about we play suits first?"
"That's fine. What are the rules?"
Rinku grinned, this time she was confident she could win against Rei, as she had never lost a game of suits since childhood.
"We'll play a maximum of 5 rounds. The first person to touch the score of 3 will be the winner,"
"Alright let's get started,"
N-no way. Rinku thought.
She had been brutally beaten three times in a row. How could she lose? Looks like she underestimated the opponent in front of her.
Rei smiled with her smug face, making Rinku want to punch her pretty face (with a kiss of course, but Rinku was too embarrassed to admit it).
"Ughh, well I lost. So, what is your request Rei-chan?"
"Please get me a drink."
"You're bad, you know I don't want to leave here,"
"Then, do you want to break up?" Rei said with a challenging face.
Rinku was surprised, but she knew that Rei was bullying her. She replied with the same defiant face. "Hoo, if you really want to break up. Go ahead."
Unexpectedly, Rei came out of the kotatsu and picked up her belongings, she said her final goodbye without turning around. "Then, goodbye Aimoto-san,"
Then left the place.
Leaving Rinku alone.
On the other hand, Rei, who was currently outside Rinku's house, was waiting. She didn't really want to break up with Rinku, she just wanted to tease her a little, before going back in and surprising her.
However, as the minutes passed, she began to feel that she tease her too much. She decided to go back in.
As soon as she re-entered, she heard the sound of crying from none other than Rinku. Feeling both panicked and guilty, she rushed to the living room and found Rinku in bad shape. She had no idea that the impact of her words would be this severe.
She immediately ran to hug Rinku. Unable to see her loved one cry, especially because of her actions, made Rei feel even more guilty.
The whole room that night was filled with the sound of crying from both sides.
After calming down enough, Rinku immediately pushed Rei gently then turned her body around. "What did you come back for Togetsu-san? I thought we had nothing to do with each other."
Rei looked sad, she even wanted to cry again.
Hold Togetsu Rei, after all this is all your fault for saying such things, you have to finish this.
"...Rinku-san, forgive...me...hiks,"
However, she could not hold back her tears, no matter how hard she tried.
"...I...I'm really...sorry...hiks,"
Rinku remained silent with her back to Rei.
"..Hiks...I'm a bad girlfriend, aren't I? I...don't deserve to be in your life...you deserve...someone better than me,"
"However, one thing is for sure Rinku-san...I...love you...very much,"
Before Rei left, a pair of arms hugged her from behind. The sound of sobbing could still be heard, but the sound of annoyance and sadness could also be heard.
"Don't you dare leave here Togetsu Rei,"
Rinku then turned Rei's body forcibly, forcing her to look at Rinku's currently angry face.
"After you managed to get into my heart, made me become very fond of you, and made my days very pleasant just by being by your side, you dare to just leave?"
Rei looked away, and guiltily said. "But...I hurt you Rinku-san,"
"Listen carefully Togetsu Rei," she said then once again forced Rei to look her way.
"You can't run away. Just because you've hurt me doesn't mean you're running away from your responsibilities. All you have to do is calm me down, persuade me, cherish me, love me, and even stay by my side forever,"
"Remember that Togetsu Rei,"
Seeing Rinku's determined face made Rei regain her resolution and purpose. "I understand Rinku-san. I will take full responsibility. I will stay by your side, cherish you, love you, forever. I won't repeat the same mistake again," she said hugging Rinku.
"Prove it."
"What should I do?"
"Kiss me."
Without hesitation, she kissed Rinku, as well as a silent witness to the formation of a new promise between the two of them.
