Lucifer has always been a lonely man. Pets rarely come to hell. Undomesticated animals never grace Lucifer with their presence. Until today.
"Well," Grim says,
"We've got an unusual visitor today."
A sheep pads to sit in front of him, "Ba'ah," then a string of unsolicited offenses comes out of its mouth.
"This is why it's in hell," Grim explains, "The only words it knows are slurs and curses."
"Meh, I could use a pet." Lucifer looks at his nails with a smirk, "And a bit of company."
This was later proven to be a mistake on his part. Less than a day later, Lucifer was strongly considering sending the sheep to the old man upstairs to deal with. Sure it'd get sent right back down almost immediately, and there would be consequences to say the least, but still. He wanted a moment of peace.
Maybe the sheep wouldn't have been so bad if the sheep hadn't made friends with a certain visitor. Said visitor wasn't dead, which gave Lucifer a headache every time he tried to think about how he got here in the first place, and seemed just to show up from time to time to cause mayhem.
"Boss," A demon flew up nervously, subconsciously shielding themselves with their notepad, "The uh...Sheep and untitled goose made its way to the gates."
