For the past few weeks, you've been really stressed about completing your commissions. It never seems to end and your work piles up even after you've completed them.
You tried completing most of your commissions today but it seems impossible, so you stopped at noon and decided to take a rest at good hunter.
You buy some meat skewers and even payed Sarah an extra change. After that, you head towards your favourite spot, which is the stairs infront of the church. Somewhat you feel peaceful sitting here, as if none of the stress was ever going to reach you here.
As you take the first bite, you hear footsteps behind you. You turn and see none other than the idol Barbara and Noelle together.
"Hi Y/n, are you taking a break from your commissions today?" Barbara asks. "Yeah, I'm feeling super burnout with all the work that has to be done." You said giving a small smile.
"I feel the same too, people are constantly coming up to me asking for help and it's really stressful." Noelle adds as she sits beside you on the stairs, giving you a sad smile. "Being an idol and a Sister is no joke either, it's so hard when so many people are expecting so much from you" Barbara says.
You frown, feeling bad for the two of them. "I guess we're all in the same boat huh?" You three laughed. It was nice sharing the same concern as your friends.
"Want some?" You asked handing them both your last two piece of meat skewers. They gladly accepted it and you all ate in silence.
After a while, you spoke up. "Taking a stroll at this hour would be nice." You said closing your eyes and feeling the wind. Noelle nods her head. "I think so too. Maybe we all should do that." "Oh that would be wonderful!" Barbara exclaims, putting her hands together. "Alright then, a stroll it is."
You three took a stroll for a while. You guys talked about many things and stories, where one of you would laugh and one of you would be suprised.
After a while, the three of you decided to rest under the tree at Windrise. You catched a crystalfly and cupped them in your hands, but you made sure to let them go unharmed. You guys didn't noticed the sky starting to go grey though, and eventually it starts raining heavily.
"Oh no, what do we do? It's raining so heavily right now!" Barbara says with concern. Suddenly, you had an idea.
"Do you two want to play in the rain?"
"I would love to but what if we get sick..?" Noelle says. "I agree, I still have my duties to do at church tomorrow." Barbara frowns. You rolled your eyes at the both of them and grabbed their hands.
"It's our day off today isn't it? It's fine to be careless for once." you say, pulling them into the rain.
"H-hey wait I never said-"
"She's right Barbara. I want to have fun, even if it's for a while" Noelle says. Barbara hesitates but gives a smile afterwards to show that she seems to agree too.
The three of you ran in the rain, not caring if your clothes were drenched from the rain or the hairs sticking to your forehead. Although the sky was dark and grey, the air was filled with excitement and laughter. How long ago have you felt like this? Like you were free and nothing else really mattered?
'This is nice' you thought to yourself.
Barbara made a little trick with her elemental skill considering she was a hydro user, gathering all the drops of rain and creating them into shapes. You and Noelle were fascinated and complimented her. Barbara smiles and blushes at them.
Soon you guys reached dawn winery and decided to settle down infront of the door since there was a roof on top, blocking the three of you from the rain. All of you felt cold. Cold but happy.
Although teeths were chittering, you guys managed to laugh one last time before falling asleep. A certain redhead comes back finding the three of you infront of his door. He was confused but decides to ask his maids to bring all of you inside to get you warm.
