Chapter 1: King Creativity

Chapter Text

Once upon a time, there was a king. His name? Why he was the King Creativity. The King loved his subjects yet he felt unfulfilled, unloved, and very alone. The Mindscape was a lovely place, full of life yet two people peeked the King’s interest, Patton and Janus. Or as these two were better known as Morality and Deceit. King Creativity yearned to be fulfilled and that’s what he sought out to do. King Creativity packed his things, leaving his beloved subjects, and heading towards the Mindscape. As he went through the forest of the Imagination however, he found himself battling vicious creatures such as a dragon witch and a kangaroo (those aren’t real don’t worry/j).

After those vicious fights however, the King made it out of the Imagination. “Phew, those battles wore me out” exclaimed the King through a few pants, he seemed excited, his voice nice and warm as well as very welcoming. As the King stepped towards the border separating the Mindscape and the Imagination he had a moment to think. “What if I don’t find what I truly want?” as well as “What if what I find is not satisfying enough?” The King took a moment to compose himself and he make the cross. There was no going back now, he had to keep going. “For me” he thought as he stepped over the border. Now as we follow King, why don’t we shift perspectives.

Morality was currently cooking up a delicious meal for himself and Deceit. “Breakfast is ready Deceit!” Morality called out as a snake like figure made his way over to him. “Smells delicious Morality.” said Deceit. Morality was a warm and welcoming father figure while Deceit was a snake like, wine drinking aunt. Morality and Deceit had a love-hate relationship, yet they managed to remain peaceful. No other sides like them had been around for miles. They thought they were the only that forced so far as Thomas developed so they made the most of their time. Until the da they felt a disturbance within the Mindscape, someone new has come. Morality was ecstatic and left to go greeted newbie while Deceit remained in his room just feeding his many MANY snakes.

“New kiddo h-“ once Morality saw the King, his cheeks went red, he stared at the fairly tall man, before finishing his sentence “-ello.” King creativity stared at the smaller man, took his had and shook it “Hi! I’m the King, King Creativity!!” he said proud and confident, this only made the moral side a brighter shade of red. Morality walked with the King, bringing him to the house. “Deceit!! There’s a new kiddo!” Morality called out. Deceit went downstairs, having a giant frozen rat in his hand before spotting the King. His human half went rather red and he said “Hello, I am Deceit.” It was a soft hiss, gosh the man before Deceit was rather dashing.

A few months go by, the King got close to both Deceit and Morality. It got to a point where both Morality and Deceit had grown a fondness for King Creativity. Which was a huge problem because well you see, Morality and Deceit had been fighting a lot more recently. The fighting made the King feel distressed, he’d have terrible migraines because of the fighting and arguing. It got worse when a new side entered the story. Logic. Logic was younger than the other kids yet he was the smartest. Morality tried to keep Logi away from Deceit and that was the trigger. “No! He isn’t yours to keep Morality!!” yelled Deceit to which he got the response of “He shouldn’t be near a liar like you!” As the arguing went on, King Creativity yelled “STOP IT! IT HURTS!” That got the attention of the two as well they witnessed something happen.

The King was glowing a bright white. He was screaming in agony and suddenly he was glowing a swirl of red and green before there were two separate thuds to the floor. The King was no longer there and on the floor were two kids just scared and hugging each other. “What th-“ Deceit started as Morality cried out “King?!” He crouched beside the kids and looked between the twins and deceit before picking up the red kid and taking Logic’s hand. “This is your fault” he said rather upset. “I’m taking them, you take that one. We’ll come up with a compromise for these twins to remain close brothers.” Morality said in a dark and disgusted tone, he was disgusted with Deceit.
