“Ah, Narvi,” Celebrimbor mutters. “How I wish you were here… More than ever I need your wisdom, my friend. You would have seen through Annatar’s lies, no doubt. You would have insisted I send him away, and taken matters into your own hands had I refused. What am I to do, Narvi?”
The stones are silent. They do not sing to him as they had to Narvi, or perhaps he simply does not have her skill.
He thinks of the marvels she could create, with nothing but stone and a chisel, thinks of her wise counsel, wishes she were here.
