Chapter Text
This was the last straw.
You had enough of Malfoy.
He thought he could get away with anything just because his family was pure blood and rich. When in reality his antics were pathetic.
How dare he talk about the Weasley family like that? How dare he insult your Fred like that? Just because Slytherin lost the match?
“How dare you call yourselves wizards?” is what you heard before anger completely took over.
One swing all it took for Draco to cry and beg on the ground. You barely even touched him, yet he was crying. When your fist collided with his face, everyone was shocked. But you were extremely angry. Everyone could only blink, one moment you were celebrating, hugging Fred and congratulating the others, then came in Malfoy, who was now on the ground with you standing above him.
“Keep your little girlfriend on a leash Weasley.” is what one of Draco’s friends said before the pink lady arrived.
“What happened here?” asked Umbridge with a shocked gasp.
“She hit me.” cried Malfoy, who was still holding his nose. Oh you hoped it was broken.
“Because he was being a bully! I wouldn’t have-” you tried to defend yourself, but Umbridge had none of it.
“Enough! Young lady, come with me.”
You looked at Fred one last time before following Umbridge.
***
Your arms hurt. That sadistic woman made you use her favourite torture pen.
“A lady must be well-mannered and mustn’t hit others.” is what she made you write.
But even after doing so, and getting punished, the pain couldn’t match with the pain you felt for your boyfriend and his family whenever Draco talked about them in such a manner.
“Y/N!” you heard Fred’s voice behind you. He rushed over to you and hugged you. “You okay?”
“Of course. Her silly torture will never break me.” you said hugging him back. It was very nice to have him close to you.
“My Love, thank you so much for standing up for me, for my family. You are a hero. My Hero.” he said, hugging you tighter.
“Well, someone had to shut him up finally.” he pulled back and took a look at your arm.
“I’m so sorry that you had to go through all that. I’m sure it hurts.”
“Not as much when I hear someone talk about your family like that.” you watched as he kissed your scar and then your palm. Suddenly the scar didn’t even hurt.
“Thank you.” is all he could think of saying. He was extremely thankful that you stood up for him, but he felt a fire light up in him, Umbridge needed to be stopped. He didn’t want you in any more pain. This was the last straw for him.
He and George already had a plan.
But for now, him kissing you is all he needed to do.
