Work Text:
It was night. Woo didn’t know what hour it was but definitely late.
He was sitting on a couch curled up with himself. He remembered all of times someone hated him. Everyone that told him to die and that he didn’t deserve love. It happened multiple times. Wooyoung didn’t know what triggered all of those memories but it hit hard. Tear streamed down his cheek. He didn’t know.
Suddenly he heard doors open. It was last thing he wanted to happen. It was his boyfriend for sure and he knew that the state he was in right now would worry San.
San walked into their apartment. “Hi Wooyou- Woo?” He quickly runs up to curled up boy.
It was spring so San didn’t have to worry about taking off anything besides his shoes.
Wooyoung didn’t realize when his sobs turned into a full blown panic attack. “Hey Woo you hear me, right? Can i touch you?” San was millimeters away from the boy but didn’t touch him until he got an answer. Younger boy shook his head quickly. San without hesitation hugged younger boy.
San was Woos ultimate comfort. He didn’t have to ask him questions. He knew what young-ah needed. He never failed him or disappoint. In his eyes San was the most perfect human being to ever exist on this planet.
He suddenly realized he was still in his boyfriends arms. He zoned out thinking about his boyfriend and didn’t remember changing positions so he was now crying into his shoulder. San was still soothing his back.
Woo took deep breaths. He now was only sobbing and hiccuping. Still shaking but safe.
He looked up and made an eye contact with his love. He received back the most gentle but beautiful smile. San all the way through was whispering him praises and saying how much he loved Wooyoung. “Thank you-u” mumbled younger boy. He wasn’t ready to say whole sentences. “It’s okay love, you are safe. With me”. Those were first clear words he heard.
San kisses his boyfriend on his forehead. It was something Woo needed. He needed it more than anything. In normal situations it would be just normal but now it felt more than good. Better than always.
“Woo, love, are you okay? What happened my love? Do you know what triggered it? You don’t have to say it now but know i will be there until you feel better.”
Wooyoung felt another wave of tears coming out. He was too tired to even try stopping them. San held him. It was the only thing he could now until his boyfriend calm down enough.
He sat there for 10 minutes until his love got enough energy to sit up by himself. San allowed him to sit up but didn’t let go.
“Thank you San-ah”
“It’s okay my love”
Those two sentences made younger boy smile. It wasn’t big but enough to reassure that he was better.
San took a blanket from the other side of theirs couch and wrapped his boyfriend in it. Woo leaned on couch. San stood up and went to kitchen that gladly was connected to their living room. He took glass and filled it with water. He took it came back to his love. He stood the glass on coffee table and hugged his love tightly.
Moment he entered their house and saw Wooyoung crying and shaking basically having a panic attack broke his heart into minute million pieces. But now he was holding his love in his arms. He made sure that the boy felt safe and was safe. He loved him more than anything or anyone. He loved protecting Woo. Making sure that he felt loved and understood.
They sat in each other’s arms for an hour in total. They weren’t speaking. But the silence wasn’t awkward. It was safe and comfortable. Two sweethearts together. Safe and loved by one another. San knew everything about his love and Woo listened to every story his sweetheart had. They felt safe with each other.
San snapped out of his thoughts. He felt heavier. Looking at Woo he realized younger went to sleep in his arms. For Sannie it wasn’t a problem. He gently shifted him and his love to the position where he could carry Woo to their bedroom. He easily picked up his boyfriend and carried him to bed. Young-ah still wrapped in his blanket. San took a comforter and laid it on them. He snuggled closer to his boyfriend and comforted him. He was tired too. But not of Wooyoung. He could never be tired of him. He went to sleep quickly while still hugging his boy.
They were safe with each other.
