Travis nodded along with all the other children, sipping on his juice box. He had felt smug because he already knew this lesson. He had learnt it from his father, who repeated it whenever Travis asked why he was so busy with Church duties. Travis felt an unending pride for his father then, who was just like Abraham, putting God before all else. Deep down, Travis also felt a twinge of shame, that he was unable to do the same.
