No.
Here he is, sitting in the field of dandelions.
But…
"I want you to be with me."
He ran his thumb over the photograph he looks at every time he comes here. He will never get tired of looking at the photo of the one he loves. Photo of a curly-haired boy. His light brown hair almost covered his eyes, which always sucked in like an ocean.
He always smiled brighter than the sun, making Sapnap's heart beat faster.
His love is the brightest guy in the school, who is also his best friend. They are completely different. Everyone knows Karl. Of course, how can one not know a boy from an art club who walks around the school all day long and draws everyone. For everyone, it has already become the norm to see a curly boy with a canvas and paints, sitting opposite some beautiful girl.
Sapnap is...
He stood at the door, raising his hand to knock. It seems that he was once again taken to another world. This happens every time he realizes that he will now meet again with the only ray of light in his life.
He's definitely in love. There was nowhere to run, it was necessary to fix the computer in the office. Every time something broke there, the guy himself volunteered to go there. He went there for Karl. For the sake of seeing this boy again.
Two quick movements and the door opened.
"Hello."
Sapnap quickly headed for a breakdown, or maybe ...
"Hello, Sapnap." To the breakage of his heart, which was successfully arranged by a curly boy. Out of habit, he wanted to reach out to the brunette to hug him, but the teacher prevented this a little.
"Hello." Sapnap didn't have to say it out loud, because the object of his adoration was sitting right in front of the teacher's table. Noticing the look of the same teacher, he quickly began to do what he had to. "I ran an update that was probably preventing my computer from working properly. This may take some time, and you will need to make some settings."
"So you're staying here until the download is over?"
The brunet nodded and cautiously looked around, looking for an empty seat. The teacher dictated something, apparently explaining a new topic. Realizing that there was only one empty seat, Sapnap sat down at the first desk. In front of the teacher's table... Next to Karl...
There's too much going on today, my heart can't take it.
He tried not to look at the curly-haired boy, who was clearly worried about something. So I want to hug him, calm him down and help him.
"Sapnap," the brown-haired woman said in a whisper, making sure that the teacher went to the back desks, “what does the equation of state of an ideal gas look like?”
Sapnap expected anything, but not such a question. But not from Karl. Of course, he knew the answer, but he was afraid that if he spoke in a whisper to his love, then his voice would tremble incredibly. Breathing will quicken, hands will begin to shake, and Jacobs will definitely notice something is wrong.
"Um ... The product of volume and pressure ra–"
“Sapnap, if you help him, I won’t be able to give him a normal grade."
If I also drag Sapnap into this situation, the teacher will simply be disappointed in him ...
All the exact sciences were too difficult for Karl. But he also knew that his best friend was very fond of physics. Every time they talked again, the younger one talked about how much he had learned both in class and on his own. He liked to listen to his voice.
Sitting in the shade near a tree, you can fully know the world around you, people ... But most importantly, you can know yourself. It was there that Karl learned a little more about himself than he would like. In a field of dandelions, with a novel in his hands, sat Karl. He knew little about himself, never thought about it, until one moment.
“Oh, are you sitting here too?” A boy appeared in front of him. Perhaps he wouldn't be any different from other seventh graders if he didn't touch the guy's heart with his smile. Everything stopped for Karl. Once he fell in love, think it was in the sixth grade, but now he realized that everything was a lie. Everything. What was it like to experience that magical feeling that is called love? Brown would answer this question by saying that he never fell in love and probably never will. “Um, hello? My name is Sapnap, I come here to work out."
The guy's greeting brought Karl back to reality. Does love and truth have such a strong effect on people? Or did he come up with everything himself and there was no love?
No. There was love. In fact, it still is. It just seems to get stronger every day. The bell brought him out of his love talks. It's not fun.
Ignoring all the teacher's lamentations, Karl decided to wait for Sapnap outside the class. He didn't want to stay in the 'death' room for too long. Fortunately, his beloved smiling boy came out almost immediately after him.
"Everything is fine?" The brunet looked at the elder, as if he was very worried. Honestly, this kind of concern made Karl's heart beat a little faster. The feeling that someone cares about him literally drowns his heart. I want to hug, kiss and never let go of the youngest. But what will other people say? Will they accept Karl? Will he destroy their, not very long, but strong, friendship? Even if not, then will completely destroy Sapnap's life. He is the same guy who depends on the opinions of others. The artist tried for a long time to convince him that someone else's opinion should not be a priority for him, but it did not work out.
Karl's soul just fell apart from the very existence of this fact. From the fact that someone can control his boy only at the expense of "opinion". An opinion no one asked for. He wants to always be there. Always support, tell the truth. Hug, share happiness and anxiety together, make wreaths of dandelions.
"Would you like me to make you a wreath of dandelions?"
Didn't have to wait long for an answer. The guy immediately nodded. Karl, unexpectedly for Sapnap, moved closer and leaned right up to his ear. "Just please don't ever stop smiling." The same gesture followed.
And Sapnap kept his promise. He smiled. Always. For Karl. Just for him. Brown sat on the grass and looked at photographs that he had taken several years ago. When he and Sapnap first met. When they first appeared in each other's lives. And now they seem to be on the same path. And suddenly, he saw a guy walking towards him. Everything is the same as three years ago. History repeats itself. But then they were just strangers to each other. And now?..
"Will you make me a wreath of dandelions?" He sat down beside him, leaning on Karl's back. Now my heart is beating slower. It got used to the year of their relationship. "Exactly the same as you made me 3 years ago, when we first met."
Karl gently kissed his boyfriend on the top of his head and little by little began to weave a simple pattern of flowers. How can dandelions be weeds? According to both guys, these flowers are the most beautiful and romantic. Nothing can be better than sitting in a field of dandelions with your significant other and enjoying each other.
