He tells her:
wear more green, it’s your color.
less eyeliner, your eyes are already bright.
your new shampoo is giving you split ends, switch back.
often, stop biting your nails.
he says these things in passing, moves on with whatever else he had been talking about and doesn’t even comment on it again, when she actually goes through with his advice.
She keeps on doing it anyway, sometimes she acts like she forgot the tip, bites nails, just so he has to repeat himself, he so loves to correct.
And she likes that he pays attention, even that little.
