Work Text:
He wishes he were actually heartless, because much as he tries to suppress them, they are never fully gone, little murmurs of hate and fear and excitement and love,
and the more he cannot control the situation, the stronger the feelings.
if he can’t stop a disaster, his survival instinct will kick in automatically.
Just as he can’t help it sometimes, when he sees her and feels arousal, his testosterone released without his compliance.
He wishes he could tear his heart out, but he is neither a surgeon nor a poet. He knows it’s actually his brain doing all this.
