Work Text:
There’s nothing wrong with loving her- as long as he doesn’t act on it.
its what they say in museums, that people can admire without interacting, look but no touch,
and in this way, nothing has to break or tear.
sherlock has long stopped denying he loves her, but the reasons to deny it were still there,
love made people irrational, unreasonable, easy to manipulate- often times by the object of love, as Miss Alder had demonstrated.
Now wiser, he would be a passive lover, the thoughts he has about molly would stay just that, his feelings would remain unshared.
