Work Text:
Jace doesn’t know who he really is, he has been called so many names.
He likes Jace, just Jace.
But which Jace does he mean? the Lightwood’s? The Wayland’s? Morgenstern’s?
can a person ever be just himself, without someone to belong to. If he could choose, he would be the Jace that belongs to himself
and if he had to be anyone’s, he would be clary’s, whichever name she would call out to him, he would respond, be whoever she would let him be to her.
the Jace who's loved by clary is the only one who’s true to himself.
