Summary
His head tilts to the side as he stares at Sonic, his ears flicking and swiveling around, his nose and eyebrows are scrunched as well as he tries to figure out what Sonic is saying. In response, the hedgehog speaks slower, moving his hands in somewhat related gestures.
“Sorry about him.” Sonic says. “Shadow’s a bit rough around the edges. He’s been through a lot ya’know?” The fox doesn’t answer, and he doesn’t expect him to, he just continues to chatter about nothing as he waits. “I feel like once you actually start talking to us you’ll get it.”
The fox slowly sits down, and Sonic takes it as his cue to just barely inch his way closer. The fox tenses, and lets out a rumbly bark, but doesn’t move. Sonic keeps talking.
“You're still covered in blood, buddy. D'ya wanna get clean?"
Once again, no answer, just an ear flick and a lost gaze.
