    Today had been particularly hard on Yoichi. He was always sick, of course, but that didn't make the bad days any easier to deal with. Hours upon hours of coughing and sneezing, drifting between sleep and laying there groggily, reading his comics to keep himself busy. Hirohito had had to go to school. It was a necessity, he said, since their parents had been killed in that attack against those with meta abilities; he had to look after them. It was understandable, but he was still glad, if not a little afraid, when his door cracked open, daylight piercing a thin sliver into the dark gloominess that was his room.
