Work Text:

Sam and Tara sat down at the staircase that led to the Ghostface robes and just relaxed. Sam taking off her father’s robes and just trying to calm her heart by reminding herself that they were all okay. Well expect for Chad…that was something they’d worry about later.

They both jumped when they heard the door open and braced themselves for an attack. This room was supposed to be secure according to Kirby.

“You idiots!”

Sam and Tara both jumped again and turned to look at the source of the voice. Billy stood there and started walking towards them, looking rather pissed off.

He was holding bandages and anti-septic in one hand and in the other a small bottle of pain killers. Sam smiled when she saw her father then if he was pissed. Tara wasn’t smiling but her eyes were shining happily as the man approached.

”Hey Billy” they both greeted

“Hey? That’s all you have to say to me is hey?” Billy asked, the angry in his voice overshadowed by the concern

Sam and Tara looked at the injuries they had gotten through the night and grimaced. Okay, they may have seen Billy’s point but still, he was acting like a doting father. Something the two girls have been missing for a long, long time now.

Billy took Tara’s arm and started cleaning it instantly, muttering something that neither could make out fully. Tara hissed as Billy poured the anti-septic over her wounds.

Her wounds weren’t deep enough to require stitches, thank god, even though Billy did have a suture kit with him. Good to know that he had faith that they could handle themselves…

Billy took out the gauze and started patching Tara up, she hissed a little when the bandage touched her skin. He offered her a muttered apology although it didn’t sound very genuine.

“Anymore?” Billy asked

“Uh, one on my leg. I think after that one that’s all of them.” Tara told him

Billy nodded and started the process of cleaning and bandaging the wound again. Once again the slash wasn’t deep enough to require stitches.

“Okay, your turn Sammy” Billy told her, motioning for her to come closer

Sam sighed and offered Billy her arm and let he start cleaning the wound and patching her up. While he was doing that she couldn’t help it as her thoughts started to wander. A thought struck her like lightning and she gasped loudly, Billy stopped what he was doing, scared he hurt Sam.

”What is it?” Tara asked

“Kirby!” Sam yelled

”Over here!”

The Carpenter sisters and Billy looked over to where they heard the voice and they saw Kirby, trying to limp her way over to them. Tara jumped up and ran to help her to where they were sitting, lifting her shirt up to access the wound.

Billy let a breath out through clenched teeth as he looked at the stab wound. He quickly finished bandaging Sam and moved closer to Kirby.

“You want me to patch you up as well?” Billy sighed

Kirby gave him a rather skeptical look and he groaned, rolling his brown eyes at her.

“I know it’s been awhile, but I’ll have you know when I was a kid I was constantly studying to be a Paramedic.” Billy informed them

“Really?” Sam and Tara asked at the same time, Kirby seemed to shocked by the fact to respond

He nodded “I when I was…14 maybe I took I serious interest in that as a career. Read every book I could about it and even took so small college classes during the summer.”

”That’s something you can do, college class when you’re a Freshmen in high school?” Tara asked

Billy shrugged “If you got good grades and play your cards right, yes”

The three girls all took a moment to process that. Then took another to think about the fact that the serial killer before them had wanted to be a paramedic. That he wanted to save lives and instead he started ending them.

Kirby sighed and shuffled closer to Billy, raising her shirt up more so it didn’t slide down while he worked.

”Do your worst” Kirby sighed

Billy got to work right away, being much more gentle with this wound then he was with Sam and Tara’s. They just received a few slashes and they hurt, they didn’t bleed much. Unlike Kirby’s stab wound which was still bleeding quite a bit.

“Okay, Kirby” Billy began, trying to get her attention with her name “I’m going to give you a Antifibrinolytic to help with the bleeding. I don’t have much of it considering I used some on Tara’s boyfriend out in the hall.”

“Wait, what do you mean, you used some on my boyfriend?” Tara asked, an anxious yet hopeful tone in her voice, so wrapped up in it that she didn’t even correct Billy to the fact that they weren’t dating yet

“Some guy was laying in the hallway bleeding out and dying, he got stabbed good. He kept saying that you were his girl and kept asking for you.” Billy explained “I patched him up to the best of my ability but he needs blood, he lost a lot of it. I didn’t bring blood bags so we’ll still have to call for an ambulance.”

Tara didn’t waste anymore time and got so she could run to Chad, pulling out Sam’s phone to call for an ambulance. She never gave it back after she called Bailey using the Ghostface voice changer.

Billy shook his head fondly and began getting ready to patch up Kirby. Giving her a numbing agent and waiting for her to tell him when it kicked in. Once it did he started putting the stitches in, her face scrunched up a little at the pressure of the needle but otherwise seemed okay.

Once he finished stitching her up he put on a type of disinfectant and wrapped it up in gauze. It wasn’t as tight as he did with Sam and Tara as he wanted the wound to be able to breath.

“Okay, wanna go check up on Tara and lover-boy?” Billy asked

Sam and Kirby nodded, the former helping the ladder as she was more wounded than she was. Sam after all only got a small slash on her arm that didn’t hurt anymore thanks to Billy patching it up.

She had no idea how Billy got here but she wasn’t going to question it, if anyone was going to patch her up. It was going to be Billy in the end, she couldn’t help it.

She trusted him.

Notes:

Also yes, I totally agree that Tara made the phone call in the ending scene of Scream 6
