Summary:

"You know, Kai'Sa, I can't help but feel like we have some kind of connection. I mean, we keep running into each other," she said with a teasing grin.

"Yeah, it does seem like that," she said softly, meeting Evelynn's gaze. "Maybe it's fate or something."

"Maybe it is," Evelynn said, her voice low and sultry. "Or maybe we just have good taste in coffee."

Chapter Text

Kai'Sa was in a rush, as usual. She had a test that morning, and she was running late. She'd grabbed her usual cup of coffee from the café near her apartment, hoping the caffeine would help her focus during the exam. She was jogging down the street, dodging other pedestrians, and checking her phone for the time.

And then, she wasn't running anymore. She was colliding with someone, and hot coffee was spilling all over the front of their outfit. Kai'Sa gasped, frozen in horror, as she looked up to see who she had run into.

It was a woman, dressed in an outfit that must have cost more than Kai'Sa's monthly rent.

Kai'Sa's heart sank.

She was struck speechless for a moment, unable to believe that she had just spilled coffee all over this stranger.

"I'm so sorry, oh my god," Kai'Sa stuttered, reaching out to help the woman wipe the coffee off her shirt. "I wasn't looking where I was going, I'm really sorry."

The woman smiled, and it was dazzling. "It's alright," she said, her voice low and smooth. "Accidents happen." She was gorgeous, with striking features and a stunning figure. The woman must have noticed her staring, because she chuckled softly.

"I'm Evelynn," she said, holding out a hand. Kai'Sa shook it, feeling a jolt of electricity as their hands touched. "And you are?"

"I'm Kai'Sa," she replied, still feeling slightly dazed. "I'm really sorry about your shirt, Evelynn. I'll pay to have it cleaned, or I can give you money for a new one or something."

Evelynn waved a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it," she said. "It's just a shirt. But thank you for offering." Evelynn nodded. "Well, it was nice to meet you, even if it was under these circumstances," she said, flashing Kai'Sa a dazzling smile. "I should probably get going now."

Kai'Sa felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Thank you," she said, still feeling embarrassed. "Have a good day, I'm really sorry again!"

Kai'Sa watched as Evelynn made her way down the street, feeling a strange mix of disappointment and relief. But there was something she couldn't place her finger on; she could swear that woman looked familiar. Maybe it was just her brain playing mind tricks on her.

As she made her way to her university as fast as she could, (carefully watching the road this time.) Kai'Sa couldn't shake the encounter from her mind. She reminded herself to tell Akali later during lunch.

"You spilled coffee on Evelynn?!" Akali exclaimed, her eyes widening in disbelief, almost spilling her drink. "Kai'Sa, do you even know who she is?"

Kai'Sa shook her head. "No, should I?"

"Yes?!" Akali let out a laugh. "Of course you should! She's only the biggest soloist in the music industry right now. Her music videos have millions of views on Youtube, and her concerts always sell out within minutes."

Kai'Sa's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh wow, I had no idea. she felt even more embarresment pass through her "I just thought she was a random woman."

Akali shook her head. "No way dude, she's a big deal. People would kill to meet her, even if it was by accident."

Kai'Sa placed her hands on her face, "Oh great god." She felt a hand pat her on the back comfortly. "Don't worry Kai Kai, at least she forgave you! Right?"

"I guess so.."
