    "Charlotte hates me." It takes only a second for the witch to fully understand what he said. Vanessa frowns. And then she laughs. She actually lets out a long laugh before shaking her head negatively.

    "She doesn't hate you." It's a simple statement. But one that for some reason makes something stir inside him. It's a strange feeling that makes Yami scratch the back of his hair. She doesn't hate you. He hates feeling like he's out of the loop or missing something important.

    "What do you mean?"

     

    So it's the Wizard King's Day and Vanessa starts bugging Yami to get Charlotte a present. But Yami is too dense to realize that maybe Charlotte doesn't actually hate him like he thinks she does. Classic oblivious protagonist move.
