Chapter Text
Tsukasa loved his brother, that much was known. It was a given. Tsukasa knew he was supposed to care for Amane, despite being the younger twin, and he did just that. His methods may be unconventional to say the least, but his heart was infused with every move he made.
The day of his fifth birthday is a memory he cherishes, he will never forget the warmth in his chest when Amane answered his question, “Of course I do!” ringing through his head every time he thought back.
He will never be happier than on that birthday.
Coming back from the red house he voluntarily trapped himself in was scary. He didn’t want to think about how or when his brother would dispose of him, though the brunette knew he had to follow along with it.
“Yugi Amane died at 13… After killing his younger brother!”
The words rung through his head nearly every day, sparks of hope melded with fear flashing in his mind. Tsukasa never thought an unavoidable future would give him so much anxiety. He had so much hope for his brother when they were young, thinking he accepted his fate, though the troubles of young teenage drama took a toll on him.
The guilt of believing he had to be the one to keep Amane on track along with the stress of the student council did not make for a very.. healthy kid.
“Amane Amane~!!”
He would spend his days with a smile on his face, varying from genuine to bright to menacing and all the like. You would never see this boy without creases on his cheeks.
“Ah- Tsukasa!”
With eyes void of emotion, teeth as sharp as razor blades, Tsukasa Yugi was the most selfless person you’d ever meet.
“Let’s go to the star festival!”
He loved all life, but never his own. He knew he was just a tool to help others grow, and he was content with that; for the most part.
“Eh-? But I thought you weren’t feeling well..”
He would do anything for the people he cared for, one of the reasons he joined the student council in the first place.
“But you wanna go, don’t you?”
He knew Amane had an incredible infatuation with space and stars and planets alike, so he made it his goal to give his brother a place to enjoy all those things.
A club made specially for his brother, full of members with likes of the cosmos. He wanted to make sure Amane had something to enjoy in life.
Nobody within the student council liked Tsukasa. He arrived early every day to work on and file papers, he stayed back late into the night for that exact reason, his grades were always straight A’s and his skills were impeccable. The narcissistic prick.
Though in reality, Tsukasa was far from a bad person. He never wanted to control people, he only did what he thought was right for his brother.
