Chapter Text
Lily Evans loved snow.
Today it had snowed more than it usually did in March. Usually the snow was already melting away but this year it was the exact opposite. Lily knew that many students were mad about it because they were waiting for summer eagerly but Lily wasn’t – snow was very useful in many ways. Especially when it came to the Marauders who always used it in their outdoor pranks. Lily had been a victim of their pranks few times in the past and had decided to prank her favorite Marauder James Potter today.
Obviously her little prank had another purpose as well. She had had a dream of James kissing her in a pile of snow all winter and had decided to make her dream come true before the winter was over. Lily blushed every time she thought about her dream because it had felt so realistic. She had been a little bit embarrassed the next morning when she woke up as she had never had dreams like that before.
James was literally driving her crazy and she didn’t complain.
Well, anymore.
Lily sighed. “Hurry up, James…” she said while standing outside the greenhouse three, waiting for James to come outside. He had stayed behind to ask something about plants that he was planning to buy for his mother as a birthday gift because she was obsessed with gardening. Lily had seen Euphemia Potter’s garden last summer and had been amazed by how gorgeous it was.
“Lily?” James’ voice suddenly said nearby.
Lily quickly swayed her wand and the snowball pile next to her rose into the air and flew towards James Potter who got hit by few of them but he blocked the others with a quick sway of his wand. He grinned at Lily.
“You’re in trouble now, Red”, James informed her as he walked towards her.
Lily giggled. “Try me, Potter”, she said and ran away from him.
“Hey, don’t run away from me!” James protested and chased after her.
“Catch me if you think you can”, redhead teased him.
“Challenge accepted!”
Lily could hear laughter in his voice and smiled. James obviously enjoyed their little game just as much as Lily did.
After a while the chase ended when James finally caught Lily who was already going out of breath. James pulled her to him and then pushed her into the pile of snow behind them. Lily giggled while a group of students passing them rolled their eyes at the couple’s sickeningly sweet antics. But Lily didn’t care about them or their opinions because she was finally making a dream of hers true.
“Finally this will stop being a dream”, Lily whispered to James while wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to herself.
“I’m happy that I could help you with that, my dear Lily”, James purred and kissed her.
Lily kissed him back, loving snow even more than ever before.
