    Kit closed her eyes for a brief moment, and as she opened them again she had no time to react as another human collided into her side. She managed to keep hold of her coffee, which only made her feel worse when she realised the person she had bumped into was now wearing her own.

    “Fuck. I am so sorry!” Kit said as she took in the dark coffee patches covering the other girls’ blue sweater.

    The girl looked down at her sweater and then down at the now empty coffee cup lying on the floor. “This is my karma for spending $8 on a vanilla latte.”

    “I am so, so sorry.” Kit said again, finally getting a good look at the girl. She was tall and had curly red hair and she was quite possibly one of the most beautiful people Kit had ever seen in her life.
