Atsushi had been feeling bad that Kyōka didn’t ever get to do anything child-like. He didn’t want her to be deprived of her childhood just like him-even though it mostly already was. He decided to take her out to see Toy Story 4.
She was excited; After all, it was her first actual movie theater experience. Atsushi sat down with her, and they enjoyed the movie. Now, neither one of them had seen the prior 3 movies, so they were a little confused, but they didn’t let that bother them.
The only thing that bothered Atsushi, was a certain character named Forky. The only reason it bothered him, was that it reminded him of Dazai.
Atsushi looks up to Dazai, and respects him. He did not want a Dazai in a kids movie though. Especially when he can absolutely see Dazai doing most of the stuff Forky does. At one point, Atsushi even questioned if Dazai had something to do with the making of Forky(He did).
That night he had a dream that he went to work, and in walked a spork with googly eyes calling, himself trash. Kunikida had told him to stop, and that they already had their hands full with Dazai around. In popped Dazai, with his arm around Forky’s pipe-cleaner arms.
“Ah, my best friend, let’s go sit in the trash together,” Dazai suggested.
“Okay,” Forky smiled happily. “I’m trash anyway”
They jumped out the window, and into a giant trash can that Atsushi swears wasn’t there before.
Atsushi swore he was never going to watch Toy Story 4 again. Unfortunately(or Fortunately depending on who you ask), Kyōka loved Toy Story 4, and wanted to watch it all the time. Atsushi reluctantly watched with her; Feeling obligated to watch with her (he felt bad that she would be watching all alone).
