Chapter Text
Tweek was excited to finally leave South Park and experience college life with his boyfriend Craig Tucker. They’ve been together for over 8 years and have only a few hiccups down the road in their relationship. It was perfect otherwise. The golden couple of South Park.
To Tweek, Craig is the perfect boyfriend. He texts “good morning” to Tweek every day. Takes pictures of Strip #4 because they co-parent. Craig always smelled nice and comforting and has special smiles only for Tweek. He allows Tweek to ramble about his conspiracies. Craig never tolerates people calling Tweek spaz, twitch, or weirdo.
Until he isn’t
Maybe it was Tweek’s fault. He had no control over whether his parents wanted him to work in their coffee shop over the summer. Tweek was the established opener and closer of the store and every day his parents would guilt trip him to work every single day. Maybe if Tweek was a bit sterner and made his parents give him appropriate hours. Tweek could have time to be with Craig. Drowning himself in coffee to stay awake Tweek felt like a drone day and night. The lack of sleep also messed his senses and the days seem to feel longer. He didn't feel like himself these days but at least he has Craig right?
Craig got a job.
Tweek didn’t know.
Craig went to California for two weeks.
Tweek had no idea.
Craig went to all Bebe’s summer parties.
No one told Tweek.
Craig still sent good mornings and the occasional Strip pictures.
But the texting got stale.
And Tweek feels bad but he keeps cleaning the coffee shop waiting for Craig to visit...
Ahhh he never came...
A summer waste all because of Tweek
He'll see Craig in school
Because it fine...
Hopefully, things will turn out better in their last year of high school!
Tolkien had the task to pick up Clyde, Jimmy, Craig, and Tweek for the first day of school. Tweek being last because of his early morning shift at Tweek Bros. Some things never change and Tweek doesn't have a car so getting a ride is much better.
“Mom, Dad! I stocked up the coffee beans and the pastries in the display box! I’m going to school now.” Tweek was rushing to get out of the coffee shop. He was wearing a forest green jumper sweater, loosely tucked into black straight jeans with dirty white Converse. He had colorful clips in his hair, he forgot to take them off after his work shift. He saw Tolkien’s car outside waiting for him.
“Have a good day at school sweetie!” Tweeks mother was outside saying goodbye, her painted red lips curled in a weird way. “Make sure you come back to the shop at 5 for your shift.” his father only reminded Tweek of his shift after school. His face relaxed as he held a cup of hot coffee.
"Yes, hngg dad.” Tweek walked faster to Tolkien’s car, he doesn’t want to deal with his parents right now. Besides Craig should be in the car, and that should brighten up Tweeks dreary morning.
Tweek opens the back of the car showing Jimmy with a yellow shirt and washed jeans, with an excited grin. Tolkien is the driver, he's dressed kind of preppy, he had a purple sweater with a white collar popping out and fitted pants. Clyde is his front passenger wearing his football jacket over a graphic t-shirt, he has baggy jeans on. Further looking, Tweek sees somebody is missing “Where’s Craig?” Tweek remember that Craig was going to catch a ride with them.
“Last night he texted me saying he had another ride” Tolkien replied with a grim. He looked kind of hurt. Clyde looked like he was about to cry. “Which is mean of him! He didn’t even send a message to the group chat.”
“H-h-hope in the ca-r-r-r Tweek. We can f-f-f-ind Craig at s-s-s-chool” Jimmy smiled, patting the empty space next to him.
Tweek got in the car. He heard faint music from the radio but has no idea what it is. Tolkien started to drive and for the first time in months, Tweek could relax. His parent’s shop gets smaller and smaller as Tolkien drives to school.
Clyde turned around the passenger set, giving Tweek a lopsided grin “What did you do over the summer Tweek?”
Scratching the back of his neck Tweek grimed “It’s going to be really lame, but I just worked at my parents’ shop.”
“Nah man, you didn’t do anything cool?”
“Uhm, my parents wouldn’t let me go?” 'God you are so lame' Tweek reminds himself watching the pitiful eyes Clyde had on him
“You didn’t hang out with Craig?”
“No, I was too busy. Uh, what did you do Clyde?"
Clyde started to grin “Glad you ask my dude. I officially have a girlfriend.”
Jimmy started to laugh.” Clyde y-y-your dre-a-am girlf-f-friend does not co-o-ount”
They all started to laugh. Tolkien was trying to hide it by not opening his mouth, Jimmy doesn’t care and laughed freely, Tweek tried to hide the giggles with his hand. Clyde looked offended “I’m not joking guys! I’m dating Bebe!”
Tolkien shook his head “Nah man, Bebe is like way out of your league.”
“No, she is not! You’ll see guys!” Clyde slouched on the seat and had a pouting face. The rest of the ride was a comfortable silence. Tolkien arrived at school and parked his car. They all head out and started walking to the entrance of the school.
“Err I need to find Craig” Tweeks not going to lie, but his stomach feels like its twisting in knots. Maybe he’s scared to see Craig or maybe it’s excitement? Not really knowing, Tweeks starts to cross his arms and rub his arms.
“You guys do that, I’m going to find Bebe” Clyde walked backward and gave finger guns to Tweek, Tolkien, and Jimmy.
Before Clyde could face forward, he crashed onto somebody, who started to swear. “Are you fucking serious Clyde? Its 8 am for this bullshit.” “Oh, hey Craig! Tweek was actually trying to find you!” Clyde got up and dusted his pants, then he went to hold his hand out for Craig. Craig smacked his hand and got up himself. “Where’s Tweek?” Clyde pointed behind him “Tweeks there and so are Tolkien and Jimmy.”
Clyde started to yell “Hey guys! Look who I found” He waved his hand over Tweek, Tolkien, and Jimmy. “I smacked right into him!” Craig groaned “Clyde you didn’t have to yell at them, they’re not even 6 feet away from us.”
Craig has a navy blue NASA jacket, zipped up with dark jeans and his classic blue chullo. Tweek was the first to run up to Craig and gave him a smile “Craig I’m so sorry I haven’t seen you all summer.” Craig’s harsh expression turned soft “It’s okay honey, I know your parents are dicks.”
“Ahh, the golden couple is back! Well, think that’s our time to leave! Tolkien, Jimmy help me find Bebe.” they went into the school building leaving Craig and Tweek outside the entrance.
It’s all sweet Tweek likes to think. Craig is smiling at him like he’s the world and hugs Tweek, but Tweek sees something off. Craig’s eyes are dulled, his sharp golden eyes look dulled, his eye bags are showing on his dark skin and his special smiles don’t feel special. Something is off.
“Craig, are you okay? You look off.” Tweek whispered into Craig’s ear “Don’t worry about it babe, It’s probably just my job making me look like shit.” Tweek leaned back. Confusion is written on his face “When did you get a job?” “Over the summer.”
“You never told me you got a job?”
“Well, I never saw you over the summer babe.”
“You could’ve just texted me that!”
“What’s the point of that?"
“So, I could be informed of my boyfriend’s life?”
“You should’ve made effort too then Tweek, who knows if you really worked at your parent’s shop.”
Tweek huffed and turned around “Wow Craig, you’re accusing me of something?”
“No Tweek it’s just unfair for you to say that.”
“Sorry”
“Oh, my fucking god! Get the fuck out of the way you gay asses!”
Right there and right then stood Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny
Cartman looked like he is going to commit a hate crime, Kyle looks like he’s going to kill Cartman, Stan looked at Tweek sympathetically and Kenny looked amused.
Craig didn’t spare them a glance, he flipped them off. He took Tweeks arm and dragged him into the school to his locker.
Tweek has a feeling that this year is going to be hell.
