Chapter Text
Don’t get Peter wrong, the spider that bit him all those years ago gave him amazing and impossible gifts. He knows that, appreciates that, and accepts it. But it also gave him different challenges.
Peter loves hugs. The feeling of being wrapped safely in the arms of someone who loves you to the end of the world and back was euphoric to him.
At least, it was. Before the bite.
Now, every touch felt different. Cuddles and hugs no longer held the same weight, physically or emotionally. The firm pressure when being held was practically non-existent for Peter at this point, with every touch feeling feather light or almost non-existent.
And the irony wasn’t lost on him either - the fact that his enhanced strength stole his ability to be held but greatly increased the chance that he could harm someone with his own touch.
In a way it had motivated him to control his strength better and faster; because if Peter couldn’t get the best hugs in the world, he was going to give them.
If only his family got the memo…
——
MORGAN
“Petey, you’re home!!” Morgan squealed as she ran inside the cabin, ahead of Pepper.
“Hi Mo Mo!” Peter greeted with a giant smile, lifting Morgan into his arms and twirling her once.
Morgan’s laughter filled the cabin, making everyone else smile.
“How was play group?” Tony asked as the kids plopped down on the nearest couch.
“Was good! ‘Cept Crispon kept screaming and it hurt my ears!”
Peter quirked an eyebrow and mouthed ‘Crispon’ to Tony who just smirked.
“Maybe Crispon wasn’t feeling well, or missing his Mommy and Daddy.” Tony tried to explain.
Morgan’s nose scrunched up not liking either of those things.
Petey poked her in the cheek, unable to resist the adorable pout covering her face.
“Hey!” Morgan shouted with a little giggle.
“Hay is for horses.” Peter querked back, much to the amusement of the two adults in the room.
“And with that,” Pepper said with a little laugh, standing up, “I’m gonna get started on dinner. Why don’t you two go play downstairs for a little while.”
Tony smiled, taking in his beautiful family before him. He moved to follow as the kids all but sprinted to the basement when Pepper got his attention.
“Don’t even mister. You said you’d take the garbage out to the road two days ago. And I think our raspberries are ready to be picked. You can do that on your way back.”
Tony groaned. “Peppppp,” Tony whined just like the children he wanted to go play with.
Pepper couldn’t help but laugh out loud. God, if Tony of the past could see himself now - he’d probably have an aneurism on the spot.
With a raised eyebrow directed his way, Tony began to shuffle towards the garbage.
The quicker he got this done, the sooner he could hang out with his two favorite kiddos.

Tony should have known better then to expect anything other than pure chaos that happens when you put a human disaster in a room with a kid that has extreme golden retriever energy.
What he also did not expect was seeing both his children hanging upside down from the ceiling like hell spawn laying in wait for him.
“What the f-“
“No swearing Mr. Stark!” Peter cautioned with a giant grin, exaggerating a wink to Morgan whose hair was almost completely obscuring her face. The pair sat like upside down frogs, swaying left and right and giggling up a storm.
“Parker.” Tony said, his tone deadpan.
“That’s my name, don’t wear it out.”
“Gah! Where did I even find you?! Look at you, corrupting your sister into a, a spider, of all things! My heart can only handle one spider child! Down. Now.” Tony demanded, knowing he had no actual sway over his stubborn children, especially when they just smiled at him with their stupid adorable faces.
Tony sighed.
He uncrossed his arms and shuffled over to at least move some of the gymnastic mats to lie underneath his heathens in case they fell and cracked their heads open.
Peter and Morgan enjoyed their spider time a little longer but the wiggles got the better of Morgan as she asked to be let down from where her hands and feet were firmly webbed to the ceiling.
“Coon me, Petey! Coon me!” Morgan laughed as she squirmed in place, only laughing louder when Peter crawled towards her.
“You mean like a cacoon?! Genius!”
Tony’s head popped up from where he was attempting to look non-chalantly by ‘playing on his phone’ when really his eyes were tracking every movement.
“No, not a good idea!” Tony quickly chimed in, tossing his phone on the couch. He would likely need both hands for whatever was about to happen.
“I got this.” Peter said with all the confidence of a teenage boy about to do something questionably reckless.
Almost simultaneously, Peter dissolved Morgan’s webs and immediately tossed his webbing at her shirt letting her drop in a beautiful yet terrifying arc.
Her giggle-scream was loud enough to drown out Tony’s automatic gasp.
As soon as she was dangling just a foot off the ground, Peter began spinning and pulling her closer as he wrapped her effortlessly into a giant cocoon. Peter then dropped himself down so that the pair were both hanging upside down in the middle of the room looking at Tony with giant smiles.
Jesus Christ, his heart couldn’t take having kids like his.
Their glistening happy eyes and giant smiles unweighed down by anything outside of the tremendous joy that were experiencing just being kids at play.
Tony couldn’t help himself, he stepped forward and squished Peter’s face in between his hands. Gah, he could just squeeze his adorable kiddos until they popped!
Ignoring Peter’s spluttering, Tony moved over to Morgan to do the same who first looked at Peter before making the same protests. The man’s heart nearly exploded as it was rapidly filled with the warmth and love of the two adoring children in front of him.
“Dinner!” Pepper’s voice called out front the top of the stairs.
“Well it looks like you two are in a bit of a bind. Guess that means more dinner for Dad!” Tony sing-songed as he exaggerated his steps towards the stairs.
“Hey! No fair!”
“Wait Daddy, wait!”
Tony smiled as he retraced his steps back towards his dangling kids and wrapped his arms around them in the biggest bear hug ever. He was slightly surprised when Peter maneuvered himself out of the hug and instead wrapped his own spidery arms around his dad and sister.
Each of the trio let themselves sink into the embrace, breathing in the nearness and comfort of the other.
And then Peter’s stomach growled.
“Alright, alright. Enough sap. Peter get your sister down. And Mo make sure you wash your hands before dinner.”
“Yes sir!” Peter and Mo both mocked, earning an eye roll from Tony.
