lThis is a vent. :)
Katsuki flinched against the couch as the door slammed closed, a huffing, strikingly 5’5ft (165.1cm) man storming through the entrance. Katsuki sighed angrily, pushing himself off of the sofa in order to seclude himself for another night. Yet, Izuku was fed up with his sappy mean shit.
The shorter man stomped over furiously, hands roughly shoving Katsuki back into his seat on the couch. “What is wrong with you Kacchan? And don’t even try to ignore me, I will go stright to bed and you know it, I am not fighting with you again,” He threatened, ready to act on his threat as tears already began to build up. Katsuki stared blankly.
“Whatever, Izuku.” Katsuki huffed and tried to get up again, easily dismissing Izuku’s frustrated threat.
“Seriously Kacchan?” Izuku huffed out of exhaustion, easily pushing Katsuki back on the couch.
“Kacchan, I’m tired of this. You’re not talking to me, you’re stomping around. And on top of all this, you have been a jerk. What has been going on with you for the last week?” Katsuki’s gaze fell behind Izuku, obviously getting lost in his head before he lowered it in shame, to which Izuku’s eyes softened. “C’mon Kacchan,” He lowered his hand, sitting next to the blond on the small sofa. “What happened?”
Katsuki chose to stay quiet, shaking his head with a stern, frustrated expression. His wall is up . Izuku moved his hand to Katsuki’s mid-thigh, rubbing it comfortingly.
“Baby, why are you upset?” Izuku grabbed his face softly, turning it so their eyes could meet. Katsuki just stared, searching, for a long moment before he laughed. It was a sad laugh, a throat-scratching, heart-trembling laugh. And then he grew frustrated, followed by anger, all until he was finally infuriated.
… And then he began crying.
“Just stuff with my mom.” His voice was dry as he rasped out the words quietly, glaring out the window at their beautiful view from their penthouse with tears falling slowly. “Don’t look at me, you shouldn’t see me like this.” He pushed his lover away, breaking away from his sweet, caring hold to get off the couch and away from the situation.
“Tell me what to do one more time Kacchan, and I will trap you in the biggest bear hug you have ever been in.” Izuku frowned as he followed Katsuki to the kitchen, where the blond was pouring himself a glass of Fireball, chugging it hastily.
“‘S Fine Izuku, I’m fine. Just go to bed, it’s, like, eleven and you have an early day tomorrow.” Katsuki waved his glass around tiredly staring at the liquid inside of it.
Izuku then proceeds to snatch the glass of spicy alcohol out of his hand and hastily set in on the counter behind himself before pulling Katsuki by his waist, hard . “Pretty sure you’re trying to tell me what to do again Kacchan.” Katsuki groaned, pulling himself out of the other mans grasp to stabilize himself against the counter.
When the blond looked up again, Izuku was pouring his drink down the sink drain, causing Katsuki to begin grumbling loudly. The shorter man rolled his eyes and set the glass in the sink, marching over to Katsuki to tug him back over to the couch.
“Sit down Katsuki.” Izuku encouraged rather sternly, raising a brow as Katsuki just stared at him.
“Whatever you say spitfire.” Katsuki sat down reluctantly, tone heavy with sarcasm.
“Talk to me Katsuki.” Izuku pleaded, continuing to stand in front of the emotionally exhausted man. Izuku glared at the blond to keep him from shutting down again. “I’m right here, Kacchan. Talk to me .” He held Katsuki’s bigger hands in his own, grasping them firmly.
Katsuki’s body slouched as he sighed heavily, eyelids droopy as he tried to stare at Izuku. “My mom is upset again. She won’t talk to me, we’re fighting.” Katsuki shrugged, trying to take his hands away as he was growing evermore distant from his lover.
“Why?” Izuku questioned, holding onto his hands tighter as he dropped to his knees in front of the blonde.
“God, I don’t know ‘Zuku!” Katsuki shouted at the ceiling, head tilted back and eyes closed easily. “She won’t tell me anything, I can’t figure out what in the hell I screwed up this time.” Another tear fell from Katsuki’s closed eye, trailing down his cheek slowly.
Izuku pursed his lips and reached up to kiss away the tear. “When did you guys last talk?” He asked softly, letting go of Katsuki’s hands to hold his face caringly.
Katsuki shook his head. “A few days ago, she dodges me whenever I try.”
Izuku could only hum, gears shifting as he tried to think of a solution. He knew Katsuki and his mom had issues, major issues and they got into these stupid little petty fights all the time, usually the petty came from Mitsuki and her toxic immaturity.
“It’s late, I’m going to bed.” This time Izuku let him go, sighing softly as he watched Katsuki’s aching body strut back to the bedroom without his usual confidence. It only took a few minutes to crawl in with him, their bodies easily shifting to accompany each other on their comfortable bed.
“I love you, Kat.” Izuku spoke firmly, kissing his forehead with a soft smile as he clutched the blonde's waist in his arms. “Love you too, dork.” Izuku rolled his eyes fondly as the arms and legs encompassing him pulled him closer, so close that their breaths intermingled as they dozed into a night's sleep.

Izuku was nervous, yet frustrated as he pounded on the door. Masaru greeted him with delight, happily pulling him into a fatherly hug. “Hello, my son, I wasn’t expecting you!” Izuku smiled back, taking his shoes off in the doorway before walking through the home.
“Good afternoon, Papa.” Izuku smiled warmly.
Masaru looked behind him with confusion, not seeing his hotheaded son anywhere. “Did Katsuki come with you?” He noticed Izuku’s quickly turned frown and the serious look in his eyes. He understood immediately. “Ahh, he doesn’t know you’re here does he?” He chuckled, leading Izuku out of the walkway and into the living room.
“Got me, he doesn’t know. I actually came to talk to Mitsuki.” Izuku inquired subtly and Masaru nodded.
“Of course,” He smiled appreciatively. “She up hiding in her woman cave, she’s upset about the fight between her and Katsuki.” He warned and Izuku nodded.
“That’s actually why I’m here. If you don’t mind, papa, I’m going to find her now.” Masaru just nodded with a smile.
“Go ahead son.”
And then he was off. It wasn’t difficult to find the room Masaru was talking about as rock music blared through the shaky walls. Izuku pounded on the door not-so-respectfully and cracked his neck as he waited for Mitsuki to open up.
Her blaring music stopped and she opened the door with a sour expression until she saw Izuku's lean frame. She welcomed him in excitedly, as they hadn’t visited privately in a long while. Yeah, there was a reason for that, Izuku remembered.
“Mitsuki,” Izuku greeted without the smile he had with Masaru. “We need to talk.” He sat on one of the couches in the room, signaling for Mitsuki to follow his example. She sat across from him with a confused expression.
“What’s wrong Izuku?” She cocked her head slightly.
Izuku sighed softly, pulling off his jacket and laying it over his lap neatly. “It’s about you and Kacchan.” Mitsuki scowled at her son’s name, to which Izuku glared. “You’re his mother . I should not have to be your guys’ mediator because you can’t get over your emotional blockage! I can say, I do not know all the details of this weeks fight-”
Mitsuki scoffed defensively, cutting him off. “Do you think it’s okay to come into my home and accuse me of such a terrible thing?? That I can’t handle my son’s petty attitude? You have no right-”
Izuku was growing increasingly infuriated. “That is not what I’m saying at all. Just because you raised your son to be easily emotionally manipulated by you, does not mean you have the same effects on me, Miss. Do not THINK I will sit by any longer as Katsuki cries on my couch because YOU can’t get over your damn self! You have scarred him not just emotionally, but physically and mentally. I have been chipping away at his walls my entire life because my husband does not deserve the life-long trauma you inflicted on him! I genuinely do not care about you, but my husband does and I will fight for him and his health, which YOU, his mother , are in the way of.”
Izuku easily shut her up as she sat with a shocked expression, body immobile.
“You need to figure your shit out because Katsuki deserves nothing you put on him. Apologize and work to right your wrongs, or I will just cut ties. And please, Mitsuki, don’t take that as a threat. It’s a promise .”
He picked his coat off his lap and left the room with a sense of newfound pride, easily ignoring Mitsuki's protests.

Izuku was welcomed home late in the night with the sight of a happily content husband waiting on the couch, dinner prepared in the kitchen.
“Hey baby, I’m home.” Izuku smiled as he called out, the door closing behind him softly. Katsuki sprung up from the couch, back to his somewhat normal self.
“I made dinner.” He walked into the kitchen a began plating the food.
“It smells delightful, Kacchan!!” Izuku dumped his stuff by the door and hopped over to the kitchen, latching onto Katsuki’s back as he peered over his shoulder at the food. He squealed loudly into Katsuki’s ear, causing the man to push him away with a yelp.
“God!” Katsuki cursed as Izuku laughed. “Making me go deaf, ya damn brat!” Izuku giggled, running his hands over Katsuki’s back apologetically.
“You’re feeling better?” It was more of an accusation than a question but Katsuki shrugged either way.
“Just got off the phone with my mom, she actually apologized, which was a first. She apologized for some of the dark shit she did when I was a kid, I dunno, we got really into it. We had a long, deep talk and I think everything’s all right for now.” Katsuki shrugged, his smile small but there.
“That’s good Kacchan.” Izuku grinned into his back, proud that his husband and his mother were finally fixing their relationship after 26 years. “But don’t make it easy for her Kacchan. She deserves to work for your forgiveness.” Katsuki turned around in Izuku's light grip, now looking down at him.
“When have you known me to turn down the opportunity to hold a grudge?” Katsuki grinned, making Izuku chuckle abruptly. The blond reached behind him before waggling a forkful of dinner in Izuku’s appreciative face.
The shorter man all but moaned as the flavors hit his tongue. “Kacchan’s the best cook!” He praised excitedly while Katsuki blushed lightly. The praise always got to him, even if they’d been together for seven years and he had gotten it from Izuku all his life. “Let’s go sit down, I’m tired.” Izuku let Katsuki grab the plates of food, already sitting down when Katsuki arrived at their nice dining table.
Izuku wiggled happily as Katsuki set a plate in front of him. “I love you Kacchan!” He beamed up at the man, eyeing him happily. The blonde rolled his eyes, pressing a soft kiss to Izuku’s forehead in return.
They ate their dinner happily.
And if Izuku visited Mitsuki a few more times, with every time a hint of a threat in order to keep Katsuki happy, well, that was none of our business.
