Work Text:

Nicky looked up from "A Series of Unfortunate Events" at Joe who was sleeping next to him on the sofa. Joe stretched his body with a jawn before he looked at Nicky with a smile.

"Finished?" Joe asked.

Nicky nodded as he closed the book.

"Still one of my favourites," Nicky replied. "Thanks for buying me a new copy of the book."

"I like spoiling you," Joe replied. "I already found your next book. You'll get it once the others are back again."

Joe pulled Nicky down so they were face to face before kissing Nicky. Slowly they started to grind up against each other.

"Ahhh," Nicky said with a smile. "That is why you are first giving me my new book in five hours."

"Just getting the most out of the time we got left alone," Joe smirked. "Who knows when I get the chance to have some fun with you again once the others get here?"

"Like the way you think," Nicky replied as he point behind Joe. "Bedroom is over there."

They kissed on the way to the bedroom throwing clothes along the way.

When Booker entered the safe house as the first one a couple of hours later, he threw his backpack into the hallway and walked out again.

"Where are you going?" Nile wanted to know.

"Somewhere else where I don't have to look at the sight inside," Booker replied. "Or hear it."

Nile looked at the clock.

"It's us who are early by an hour," Nile said. "I bet when we return they are dressed."

"Ok, 100 dollars?" Booker asked and Nile nodded. "Good, now let's find something that is deep-fried and a cold beer."

When Nile and Booker returned an hour and five minutes later, they found Andy sitting on the sofa talking with Joe, while Nicky was reading his newest book "Yellowface".

"You're late," Andy said.

"And you owe me 100 dollars," Nile said and Booker handed her the money."

"Oh, someone was too early," Joe smirked.

"I don't want to talk about it," Booker replied. "Or hear more about it while I stay here."

"No promises," Joe smirked which earned him a look from Nicky. "We promise to behave."

Booker shook his head. He doubted it.
