Chapter 1: First meeting

Chapter Text

First meeting

Ichigo

It's today. Your first day at your new school. New friends, teachers. Everything is completely different than before. Maybe because you've only been in Karakura Town for a few days and haven't gotten used to the local climate yet. And you generally had no problems with that sort of thing. But even that couldn't spoil your mood. You walked into class with a smile on your face. It's strange that no one noticed you, but you weren't sad. You didn't like people staring at you all the time. It was embarrassing and sometimes even scary for you. After a while you felt someone touch your shoulder. You turned around in surprise, but not what you expected.

"Tatsuki?! What are you doing here?" you asked, throwing yourself around the girl's neck with such force that you could easily strangle her. Your old friend smiled, patted you on the shoulder, and hugged you back.

- What do you think? I go to school here," she announced after a moment, taking a step away from you.

Honestly, at that moment you couldn't believe what was happening. Tatsuki, you met in Kyoto at a karate competition. Even though it only lasted a few days, you bonded a lot. So much so that later you cried into your pillow, longing for conversations until dawn and general mutual understanding.

You had so much to say to each other that you didn't even notice how quickly the twenty minutes passed. In the meantime, even more students from your class started entering the class. At some point, one particular person crossed the threshold. Namely, a boy with lush orange hair. Arisawa's eyes immediately landed on him. The girl waved to the boy and gestured for him to come closer.

"Hi Ichigo. Meet my old friend" she said and turned to you. "This is [Y/.]" she added, and the redhead looked at you blankly.

"Hi," he murmured, extending his hand in greeting.

Renji

Life has never spoiled you. Born, raised and living in one of the poorest districts of Rukongai, you've spent a lot of time on the streets trying to get through another tough day. Life gave you no choice, you had to steal to survive. And it wasn't just you, it was other kids you spent time with.

On a day like today the streets were very crowded. People stood at their stalls and sold food, drink and some completely useless things. And you? You sat alone in an alley and stared aimlessly at the clear blue sky. You had no idea how long it took you to be idle. In fact, you would still be doing it if it weren't for the screams of the old man who was getting closer and closer to you.

Curious, you poked your head around the corner of the building and saw a boy running towards you. He didn't seem much taller than you. He had red hair and was holding a small loaf of bread.

As you suspected, an old man was chasing him. Worse, it was almost catching up with him. It was impossible to stand idle. It was necessary to act. You leaned fully out of the wall and dragged the confused boy into the alley, who was protesting violently. He even wanted to hit you, but you were too fast for him. The owner of the stall realized after a few seconds that there was no boy in front of him. Pissed, he walked back into the alley, but you weren't there anymore. You have already reached a fairly populated part of your district. The panting boy stopped to catch his breath.

"Thanks," he breathed out, and you continued to watch your surroundings with your arms folded over your chest. You didn't see the danger, so you calmly approached it.

- "It's okay, next time be careful" - you said wanting to leave, but the boy firmly grabbed your hand.

"I'm Renji," he said and broke off a piece of bread. Smiling, he reached out and handed you a small present.

“Thank you…I'm [Y/N],” you stuttered.

Aizen

Today was your big day. After many years spent studying and training at the Academy, you could proudly stand at the gate of the Fifth Division barracks, thinking that you belonged to it too. As you walked towards the captain's quarters, you greeted everyone you met. Some you even knew from the Academy, but not many. Finally, after a few minutes of walking, you reached the captain's quarters. From behind the door you immediately heard a dissatisfied voice and even the sound of breaking glass. Concerned, you didn't have time to knock on the door, you just turned the handle. You saw how the fair-haired captain of the Fifth Division looked like he had just eaten a lemon.

"What am I supposed to do with you, Sousuke?" the man stuttered and looked at you. Startled, he pointed a finger at you, causing his lieutenant to turn to you.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, Hirako-taicho," you squeaked blushing and bowed apologetically. The captain scratched the back of his head clumsily, then tossed a folder of documents to the lieutenant.

- "Nothing happened. Aizen, this is [Y.N.] [Y.S.], she's been working with us since today. Show her around the barracks. And by the way, finally give me the proper documents" - he said angrily. "Now get out, both of you," he added after a moment.

- "Yes Sir!" - answered the tall brunette and for your own safety you escaped from the room. Taking the opportunity, you stopped at the office door to chat for a while.

"Nice to meet you [T.I.], don't worry about Captain Hirako. He's always so mean," the lieutenant said with a smile, then a scream from the next room reached your ears.

"I can hear it all, Aizen!" Hirako shouted.

Byakuya

Satisfied, you ran one of the corridors of the Academy. As it turned out a moment ago, your studies were not in vain and you passed the Kidō exam without any problems. Now you wanted to both show off and thank your friend Rukia for helping me master more complex techniques. From what Renji told you, the girl recently entered one of the rooms with some unknown guy. You still had a lot of questions you wanted to know the answer to. You finally made it to the room where your friend was last seen. From behind the door you heard very distinct footsteps indicating that someone was about to leave the room. You stepped back to avoid an accidental hit. The moment you both stepped aside, the door opened and a tall man with long black hair walked in, a long mint scarf hanging around his neck. Honestly? You had no idea who that person was. All he did was give you an icy stare. Four more people followed him. Out of curiosity, you looked into the room, where you saw Rukia standing motionless. Concerned, you walked closer to her.

"Hey, are you okay?" You asked without getting an answer. It's like your friend is stuck in a moment. "Who was this guy?" You added and the girl looked blankly at you.

-"Never mind..."

Jushiro

Another busy day ahead of you. Unfortunately, it started tragically. Everything else as always. But why? First of all, the eleventh division had caused quite a stir after the last training session. And who's perfect for the dirty work? Of course, the Fourth Division, which is not famous for healing people, but for cleaning up the mess made by others. Secondly, Captain Unohana had a very important meeting today, so she assigned you to go with the medicine to the sick Captain Ukitake. You have not complained about this job, because for the first time you will speak in person with one of the most likable and understanding captains in Soul Society. You spent the morning with this thought. Satisfied, you slowly walked to the captain's house, where the poor fellow had to suffer and suffer. You had to admit that you felt very sorry for him. But well, at least the medicine you bring him will help him more than your sympathy. With these stupid thoughts, you crossed the wooden plank and stood in front of the door. You knocked lightly and a soft "come in" came from inside. You gently opened the wooden door, where behind a small table you saw a man sitting with his head in his hands

"Good morning, captain. I'm [Y.N.], Unohana-Taicho sent me," you said, placing the medicine on the table. The white-haired man looked at you with narrowed eyes and smiled weakly.

"Nice to meet you [Y.N.], shall we have some tea?" he asked, pushing a beautiful china mug towards you. You had to confess. It was an extremely tempting proposition. you didn't say no so you nodded with a smile.

"With pleasure," you replied.

Hisagi

You finally waited. The desired end of work. You were very tired from the constant race around the training ground. And it's not just you. You had to admit that Captain Aizen has been giving you a hard time lately. He didn't even let go of his lieutenant, and though he liked Hinamori very much, he gave her no relief. To unwind after those hard days of training, you decided to go to a bar and have some fun alone. Already on the threshold, you saw several lieutenants who, without the slightest resistance, poured themselves alcohol.

But what did you care. You were here for yourself to forget all your worries. You calmly walked over to one of the tables and ordered two bottles of sake, although you knew it wouldn't be enough, but decided not to overdo it. including two lieutenants. One of them was already so drunk that he fell to the floor when he got up from his chair. Concerned, you got up and walked over to the blonde lying on the ground. You recognized him as a Third Division lieutenant. Usually a reasonable and orderly man. You shook him gently, but it was no use.

"Don't even try, he's drugged unconscious," said a black-haired boy with a scar over one eye. After a moment he sighed heavily and knelt next to you, then tried to lift his companion.

-"Wait, I'll help you"- you announced, grabbing Kira's left hand, and then you tried with all your strength to lift it. It was a difficult task. You can even say that it is heavier than some exercises in training. You did gymnastics for a while to pick up the drunk lieutenant, but thanks to your companion you managed it without any problems.

"By the way, I'm Hisagi Shuhei," he said, breaking the silence between you two. With all this, you even forgot to introduce yourself. You decided to correct your mistake, so you extended your hand in greeting.

"[Y.N.] [Y.S] Nice to meet you, Hisagi."
