OVERVIEW: Team CRML is the designation of a team in Beacon Academy’s 81st class (Making them a year junior to Team RWBY and Team JNPR) consisting of Roana Flamenco, Lilac Williams, Margaret Okeanos, and its leader Corbyn Blue.
Name Origin: Caramel, a light shade of brown.

Background: Born of a tryst between Lucille Blue and a Valean Huntsman, Corbyn was raised on his maternal grandfather’s sheep farm on the island of Patch where what precious free time he had was spent playing alongside the girls next door (well… A half-mile down the road but for Patch that’s next door…) Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose. Thanks in part to Ruby’s petal burst, Corbyn pushed himself to be faster and more evasive in order to play with her. It was around then that Corbyn gained a penchant for telling tall tales, of which Qrow Branwen would often fall victim, having to trek through the woods -frequently hungover- looking for fictitious Grimm. Qrow’s harsh reprimands alongside his semblance ‘Misfortune’ eventually created a persona of Qrow as this fearsome reaper of bad luck within Corbyn’s mind, a persona Qrow was more than happy to encourage as the boy started hanging out with Yang in particular. Shortly before he began attending Signal Academy, Corbyn became interested in combat sports, the Mistrali tournament scene where he became a fan of and developed a not-so-subtle crush on then rising star Pyrrha Nikos. Taught at Signal Academy by Taiyang Xiao Long and Qrow Branwen, Corbyn forged his weapon ‘Two As One’ and developed a rapid and evasive dual handed fighting style. Graduating from Signal with top marks, Corbyn is eager to attend Beacon Academy and rejoin schooling with his friends Ruby and Yang. And maybe, just maybe, meet “The Invincible Girl” while he’s there…

Weapon: Two As One mk.II – Silver twin curved short swords that mechshift by attaching at the hilts to form a longbow. A bowstring is created by a current of hard-light dust tethered at the tips of each blade able to loose bolts of dust at around 270mph. Two As One mk.I differed in that it had a physical steel wire bowstring which was removed because it kept hitting him in the face.
Semblance: Glimmer – Corbyn’s semblance manifest as small explosions of light that range in size from small beads to televisions and possibly even larger. The explosions vary in Lumosity, but he has been able to produces ones with the brightness of an arc welder but more often are less bright than a cheap lightbulb. Glimmer’s range may be about a thirty feet radius around Corbyn but is not restricted by his field of vision often able to randomly and repeatedly manifest behind him without his knowledge when he’s flustered. Corbyn often uses Glimmer to obfuscate his movements by rapidly flashing small explosions in his opponents’ eyes and quickly getting in with his fleet swordsmanship.
Semblance Discovery: If asked, discovered while searching for the light switch in the dark at age twelve. In truth, discovered after seeing a recently pubescent Yang Xiao Long in a swimsuit she had outgrown at age twelve.

Background: Born the Scion of the Flamenco Family, a former noble house of Viscounts with strong ties to the Cinnabar region of Vacuo along the Valean boarder. Spoiled and pampered as a girl, Roana grew to idolize the honor bound nobles of days past who safeguarded their peoples from the Grimm, seeing becoming a huntress as an obligation of her fulfilling her duties as a noble. Due to Flamenco tradition, Roana studied languages, poise, and dance as well as combat skills, incorporating the swift and fluid motions of Vacuan fan dancing into her fighting style. At some point, she became a fan of Weiss Schnee’s career as a singer forming a crush (obsession) on the Atlesian Songstress, collecting albums and keeping a heart-shaped locket with the chilly heiress’s picture in it. This may or may not have influenced her decision to attend Beacon Academy in Vale.

Semblance: Blazing Passion- Roana’s semblance manifest as flames conjured in the wake of her movement. Combined with her graceful movement and dancing, it’s easy for her to launch fireballs and streams of flame at her opponent. Even the contractions of her respiratory system are enough to create embers and flame if she’s pushed enough and her animated movements will often literally combust to emphasize her foul mood, but this is more due to Roana’s flair for the dramatic than her semblance running free. (Basically, Burning Caress at home.)

Name Origin: Margaret (English variation of the Ancient Greek name Margarites meaning Pearl, this rabbit hole goes deeper than that that even, Margaret’s an old name) Okeanos (Name of the Greek titan of the Ocean who’s body encircled the world and just outright the Ancient Greek word for Ocean)

Hair: Flowing Pink hair that falls past her shoulders to the small of her back. Kept off her ears by two pink clips based off her emblem of a pink pearl with a white four pointed star shining in the upper right corner.

Background: Born the beloved “Little Pearl” of respected huntsman Triton Okeanos, Margaret has many fond memories of her early childhood surrounding the close-knit community of Vale’s Little Menagerie district. Be it general memories of the community Uncle Remus Tar selling Solstice Trees from his hardware store or more personal ones like when her father’s dear friend Morris Dredd unlocking her aura at age 8. Memories that abruptly stop with the tragic death of her father in the line of action. The official story of the Valean Hunter’s guild is that Triton Okeanos bravely gave his life to protect his fellow huntsmen from the monstrous Grimm, but more bitter voices claim that he was forcefully sacrificed to allow his human ‘comrades’ a chance to flee. During that time Margaret’s mother began developing more and more radical outlooks on the state of the world while Margaret herself seemingly shut down. No longer the rowdy and outgoing “Little Pearl,” Margaret became quiet and timid around humans, even stuttering if she was forced to talk to one. Despite it all however, Margaret’s dream of becoming a huntress that her father would be proud of shone brighter than ever. Enduring bullying from human classmates, Margaret was accepted into Beacon Academy with her mother relenting to her admission on the condition she made sure her partner was a fellow faunus…

Weapon: Charybdis – A collapsible trident that was originally the weapon of Triton Okeanos. The weapon is one foot in length while collapsed and five feet in length while in combat mode. Each ten inch prong of the trident is able to be fired separately with a range of 40 feet at a speed of about 300mph with each prong connected to the head of the trident by a chain. Each chain is able to be reeled in individually by a motor at the base of the trident’s head.
Semblance: Siren’s Cry – Margaret emits powerful sonic waves from her diaphragm for upwards of several seconds in a conical shape in front of her with a range of upwards of 150ft. Outside the cone the noise emitted easily reach 150dB while within the cone the sound level may go well over 200dB several times over, violently vibrating anything in its path to shreds. Due to the incredible force of this semblance manifesting and exploding outward, Margaret herself is the most vulnerable to it, air often making gill-like slits in the side of her throat as it is flung forward trying to escape the energy as quickly as possible. This causes Margaret great pain and is why she refuses to use her semblance except in the most dire of circumstances.

Background: Born in the forested highlands of the historic island of Vytal, Lilac was raised by her beloved Da’ after her Ma’s passing in childbirth. Vytal’s alpine terrain instilled Lilac with the skills of a huntress from an early age, often spending months at a time in the island’s hinterlands with her Huntsman Da’ weeding Grimm off the island. Having shared all his knowledge with her, Lilac was sent to Beacon Academy by her Da’ to get her first taste of a formal education.

Weapon: Newton – A mechshift weapon capable of folding from a dual-headed battle axe into a crossbow configuration or unfolding from a crossbow into a battle axe. While in crossbow configuration it is capable of firing bolts of dust at upwards of 300mph.
Semblance: Zero “G” – Zero “G” manifests as a purple cloak of aura around an object or group of objects Lilac is directly touching. Items within this aura are immune to the pull of gravity but still affected by outside forces acting upon them most often Lilac herself, this allows her to easily lift massive objects though a sort of tactile telekinesis.
Semblance Discovery: Prevented an Apple Tree from crashing on top of her when she was 14.
