Summary
"Can you please smile for me?" Chay asked, wiping Kim's tears away. "I want your beautiful smile to be the last thing I see before I go. Please?"
And even though his heart ached with Chay's words, Kim couldn't deny his angel's request. So he smiled. Chay smiled back at him and his eyes sparkled for a moment, the same sparkle that had always made Kim melt. And then it wasn't there anymore. With all the strength he had left, Chay whispered, "I love you, Kim." Then he closed his eyes with a peaceful smile on his face and went limp in Kim's arms, the hand that was cupping Kim's cheek falling to his side. He was gone.
It was at that moment that Kim realized, with a shattered heart, that he loved him too. But it was too late to do anything now. He'd already lost the one thing he cared about, the one he loved most. And Kim had died along with him. His love, his light, his dreams, his life had left him. And he was never going to get him back.
"I love you too, angel," he whispered, placing a kiss on Chay's now cold forehead.

Chay does not survive the kidnapping. He dies and Kim suffers because of his death.
