Summary
The leaves are brown, and dead, and wet on the ground and Hermione Granger could not imagine the blooming life that had come before. Much like her, these leaves had outlived and outlasted, only to be bested by the changing seasons, the unending flow of time. The war had ended, and the seasons changed, and she was lifeless on the ground. Her soul is as brown as the leaves falling from the trees. She can’t imagine another green spring.
The leaves are brown, and dead, and wet on the ground and Draco Malfoy cannot wait for the inevitable snowfall that would always come. He had outlived the leaves that had been green and very much alive when he was branded and condemned. He felt so very alive, but like the leaves on the ground, he had lost everything. He has hope for another green spring, one where he might have found himself again, found something else too.
