Work Text:
Emma nestled herself closer to Hugh's warm body. She couldn't ignore the developing feelings she had for the older boy. They took care of each other, especially now that Jacob no longer wanted her, and Fiona was dead.
A part of her desperately wanted him to stop clinging to delusion that Fiona had somehow survived. She wanted him to move on, and to move on with her.
But she loved comforting him after he gets overwhelmed by her being gone. It was why she had gotten so close to him, why she was able to fall asleep in his arms. It felt so good to be needed by him.
She looked up at his sleeping face, his lips parted so his bees could flit in and out, his curly hair tousled by sleep. She mourned the loss of his round cheeks, but she did like the cheekbones that were visible now. She'd like them better if they didn't make her sad. She hoped she could get him to start eating enough again.
She wondered if he'd taste like honey if she kissed him. God, she wanted to kiss him. She wanted to kiss him when he got upset, all over his face and hands until loosing Fiona didn't matter because he had her.
