Summary
Rose lived part of her peculiar life in a loop that was later destroyed by a bunch of hollows. She ends up in the Devil's acre, and after a massive fight with hollows, wights and their leader Caul, all of the inhabitants of the loop have their internal clock reset and they are finally able to roam the world on their own. On her long journey, she finds Miss Cardinal's loop for dark peculiars, and she decides to stay.
Enoch was stuck again in their old loop but decided to try living a little, and along with Millard (who claims he needed to visit Noor's friend), they took off an adventure. Millard leaves Enoch on his own after a few days, and the deadriser tries to find a place to live. After a long journey, he decides to stay with Miss Cardinal and her wards.
(This work is mostly inspired by the books - this is kind of happening after the Desolation of Devil's acre book. The characters' appearances and personalities are based on movie adaptation. I had to alter a few things to fit the story better.)

Desperate for a solution, his parents discover a psychiatric institution in Wales, the same one where Abraham Portman, Jacob's grandfather, spent much of his life dealing with his schizophrenia. The institution presents itself as a light at the end of the tunnel, a home for children with unique problems like Jacob's.
Jacob is introduced to an island, a large house, children with peculiar behaviors, women named after birds, and dangers hidden behind dark glasses. Some dangers are not just hallucinations.

Isabel downplays her minor loop lag issue, prioritizing her endless work as a ymbryne, and then the problems keep piling up. As the symptoms intensify, she eventually experiences the rarest symptom of all: autogenesis, a spontaneous pregnancy of a clone of herself. Now she and Alma have to deal with the difficulties that will come with the little clone.
