Summary

Then we delve into a little bit of post-canon where Alastor is forced to navigate a world in which he doesn't get Vox's attention on-demand anymore, due to the events of the season 2 finale (and everything preceding it, really). Slow burn to the point that Jane Austen herself is going to demand I move things along.

He continues to believe it, even when Mao can no longer think or speak for himself.
And, eventually, Mao starts to believe in it too.
