Kyungsoo was sitting on the couch, scrolling on his phone, when Jongin emerged from their bathroom, snuggling his slightly shower-damp head on Kyungsoo's lap and into his fluffy pajama pants. Kyungsoo clicked on a video shared in the study group chat with Chanyeol and Baekhyun. It was two cats licking cream off each other’s noses.
He chuckled quietly at how adorable the scene was, his hand moving mindlessly to scratch behind Jongin’s ear, earning him a soft purr.
"What are you watching?" Jongin heard the rumbling noises from the video, intrigued. Kyungsoo explained as he moved the screen closer for Jongin to see, "Just kittens sharing Eskimo kisses."
Jongin huffed in amusement, "That couldn't be further away from the truth." Kyungsoo gave him a confused look as Jongin continued, "They are trying to dominate each other, and the tabby one, she’s winning. Obviously."
"She? Obviously? How-" Kyungsoo’s eyes widened as he removed the hand from Jongin’s hair to replay the clip. As if on cue, the tabby cat hissed and whacked the other cat in the face.
Kyungsoo raised an eyebrow, surprised at how spot-on Jongin’s observations were. Jongin shrugged.
"Look at her stiff tail. She’s feeling disrespected and pissed. Mostly pissed." Jongin dragged Kyungsoo’s fingers on the screen back into his hair, showing him where he wanted to get scratched. "I know this for obvious reasons."
Kyungsoo smiled, his eyes crinkling into two little crescent moons. Jongin couldn’t help but raise his hand to lightly pinch Kyungsoo’s left cheek, his cheek nuzzling Kyungsoo’s belly, scent-marking him.
"Speaking of," Jongin feigned a pout, "why are you watching cat videos when there’s a perfectly adorable cat on your lap, ready for some snuggles," He looked up at Kyungsoo from under his lashes, the tip of his tail quivering, "or are the signs not obvious enough for you?"
Kyungsoo laughed as he put his phone away. "Sorry." He took Jongin’s cheeks between his hands and lightly squeezed, leaning closer to rub their noses together before raining loud kisses all over Jongin’s scrunched-up face. "Better?"
Jongin hummed with his eyes closed, reaching up to hug Kyungsoo behind his neck. "Now kiss me properly."
