“Mamaaaa!!”
Bachira Yuu, a successful artist who is now busy painting her new piece shifts her attention from the painting in front of her to the white door in her small studio.
A cute brown haired boy with big bright yellow eyes peeks from behind the door.
“Yes, Meguru honey?”
The said boy, Bachira Meguru grins widely when his mom calls him honey. He loves the nickname so much that he smiles everytime his mom calls him that.
“Can I go to Rin and Sae’s house for movie night? It's Friday night~” Meguru asks politely with his cute voice.
Yuu smiles and she nods. “Oh, sure! You'll sleep there too right? Don't forget to bring your toothbrush and spare clothes. Brush your teeth before going to sleep!” she reminds him.
“Okayy!!” Meguru runs to his room to take his toothbrush and some spare clothes before putting it inside a small backpack. Yuu puts away her colour palette to send her son off.
She goes to the kitchen to take a box of moist chocolate cake from the fridge and hands it to her son. “Bring this too. Share it with Sae and Rin.”
“Thank you mamaaa!” Meguru takes the box and hugs his mom tightly before leaving –a habit for him every time he's leaving the house.
Yuu returns the hug too, but the unusual warmth emitted from his son’s body makes her worried.
“Are you sick? Your body is hot!” Yuu frowns. She puts her palm on Meguru’s head to check his temperature, but it doesn't feel hot at all. Only his face is red and his body is quite warm than usual. “Your face is red too!”
“It's just cold today so I took a hot shower just now,” Meguru quickly replies before his mom could express more of her concern. He actually felt sick since yesterday but he didn't want to miss the movie night, so he lied. Technically, he’s not lying. It’s true that he took a hot shower because it was cold today. He just didn’t answer the question that Yuu asked him.
“Hmmm… okay. Take care. Don't sleep too late!” She gives a kiss on the forehead and ruffles his hair. Meguru then kisses her back on the cheek before he leaves for the Itoshi house with a smile.
But unfortunately for Bachira Yuu, who's born as a beta, couldn't smell the faint milky scent from her son that everyone thought was a beta too. She unconsciously sent her only child to a lion den that night.
Meguru rings the bell of the grey coloured house before he opens the unlocked door. Just as a courtesy that he's arrived.
He have been childhood friends with the Itoshi siblings since he was 5 years old, and their parents knew each other. Sae is older than him by one year and Rin is younger than him by one year too. Mr and Mrs Itoshi are both busy people, so they rarely come home. Sae and Rin always get left alone in the house, thus they regularly visit the Bachira’s family house or Meguru is the one who comes to their house to play.
More than a decade later, Meguru’s friendship with them is still intact, although Sae and Rin constantly fight over things and Meguru is the one who needs to break up their fight.
And ever since they've presented as alphas at 13 for Sae and 14 for Rin, their fights become more intense and frequent. Their banter in school and at home makes Meguru’s head spin since he's the one who needs to calm both of them down.
“Hellooo anybody home?” Meguru enters the house and moves his feet towards the living room where he can hear the faint sound of tv playing.
There, the older brother of Itoshi, Itoshi Sae is already sitting on the sofa in front of the television with a big blanket wrapped around his body. The light is so dim and Meguru is so sure that his mom will get mad if she knew that they're watching a movie in dark because his sight will get bad.
“Meguuu!! Come here!” Sae pats softly on the seat beside him, inviting Bachira to sit there. He opens his big blanket too for Meguru to join him inside.
Meguru puts the cake on the small table between the sofa and television before he joins Sae under his warm blanket.
“What's that?”
“Chocolate cake. Mama said to share with you two. Oh where is Rin?”
Meguru makes himself comfortable on the long sofa that can fit three people, perfect for the three of them. His body is so close to Sae, and the alpha freezes when he catches a whiff of Meguru’s mild and soft milky scent. There's a hint of citrus too behind the milky scent.
The scent is weak but it's enough to make Sae’s mouth water.
Deep down, Sae had an instinct that Meguru is not a beta, although the boy and his second gender test claimed so. He might just be a late bloomer, so that's why he hasn't presented yet either as an alpha or omega.
Sae always hopes that Meguru is an omega, so he can court the boy to become his mate. He likes Meguru a lot, wait no, he loves Bachira Meguru a lot. And Sae will do anything to make sure he will be his, even if the boy is a beta.
Don't blame him for obsessing over the boy. Just look at Bachira Meguru, a cute ray of sunshine. His sweet smile, his adorable laugh, his pretty yellow eyes, his bubbly personality and humour, his kind and selfless heart, and he's the only one who cares about Sae for who he is and not only for his achievements, just?? how could he not love him? And the fact that Meguru is the only one that Sae feels so comfortable sharing his thoughts with and keeping his secrets even from his brother that he loathes so much, makes him love Meguru more. Meguru is a finders keeper.
But Itoshi Sae, the popular soccer player at school with his famous perfect kick technique and meta vision, is scared. There's quite a few boys and girls who had crushes on Meguru during primary and junior high school and courageously confessed to him, but he rejected them. Sure he rejected them politely, but Sae is worried that it will affect their friendship later if Meguru ever rejects him.
So he kept his feelings deep inside, but continued to treat Meguru more than a friend. He’s cold with everyone else, and only acting spoilt with Meguru. The latter is too oblivious to the special treatment that Sae gave him, saying that it's only because they're childhood friends. It doesn't stop Sae to subtly show to everyone that Bachira Meguru is his so everyone can back off while he tries to make Meguru fall for him.
The only one that he can't push away easily is Rin. Their relationship has been bad since they were kids and they always gets into fights, because their parents favoured him more and Rin is jealous of him. So that brat leeches on Meguru, hogging Meguru’s attention from him and directing it towards himself. Sae hates him so much. It does make him feel bad to see Bachira upset because of their fight, but Rin is the one who always gets on his nerves first. Screw him and his arrogant attitude. Sae prays everyday that one day Meguru will come to hate Rin so much to the point they’ll break up their friendship.
However, one day he confirmed that Rin, his own brother, also likes Meguru, a few days after Rin was presented as an alpha. Sae still remembers that filthy mouth saying “I love Meguru and I’ll make him mine, so you better stay away from him, brother.”
Sae didn't think twice before he landed a hard punch on Rin’s face that day. They fought badly until their faces and knuckles were bruised and blooded. Safe to say that their mom were called to school and it's the first time Sae saw Meguru crying until he couldn't breathe and fainted. He was admitted to the hospital that day.
It sends both the Itoshi brothers to their senses. So they both make a silent promise that they'll put Meguru first before their hatred. Both of them love the boy so much, so they decided to put their banter aside for Meguru’s sake.
So now, they're fighting (quite) fair and square to make Meguru fall in love with them. They sometimes fight but just verbally behind him, so the other won't get worried. And it's an open secret in their high school that both Itoshi brothers are staking their claim on Bachira Meguru. The only one who doesn't know is the person himself.
“Sae-chan? You're okay?” Meguru’s worried voice brings Sae back to his senses, where he is in a dim quiet room alone with Meguru and most importantly, without Rin.
Sae plastered a thin smile on his face before he scoots himself closer to the boy until their limbs tangled together. “Nothing, I'm just cold,” he gives excuses to wrap his hands around Meguru’s small waist.
Meguru chuckles. “I’m cold too.” It’s spring season already, but the temperature is still low at night. So he moves and slots himself on Sae’s laps. He fits perfectly there, like Sae’s lap was made exclusively for him. The red haired boy gulps when Meguru’s back touches his wide chest. Sae can only hope that he won’t hear his heart beating out so loud. Since Rin is still showering, Sae thinks that it’s a perfect chance for him to get spoiled by Meguru.
“What should we watch tonight? Is the new minion movie okay?”
Sae hums, agreeing and the other takes the remote to play the said movie on Netflix. The movie started quite slowly, showing Gru's childhood where he wants to be the greatest villain ever.
Meguru is already focused on the movie since he loves animation movies so much, but the alpha behind him can’t focus on anything else. His mind and judgement is clouded with his inner alpha desire, to make this boy his now. And being in skin to skin proximity like this kinda confirms that this person that he loves so much is actually an omega.
Sae thanks whoever decided to create this beautiful boy as an omega. He must’ve done something really good during his past life when Bachira Meguru’s nape is handed on a silver platter like this to him since the boy ties his hair in a cute ponytail.
Sae brings his face closer and he buries his face in Meguru’s neck, inhaling more the intoxicating scent of the boy. “You smell so nice tonight,” Sae sings praise.
“Really? I just took a bath with a new lavender fragrance soap. Guess it's the right choice to choose that one instead of the rose one.”
Meguru lets Sae bury his face on his neck, like it's a normal thing to do between them although what Sae is doing is sending jolts through his nerves, making him feel tingling inside.
They keep that pose for few moments and some indecent thoughts passed Sae’s mind. He wonders…. if he licks Meguru’s neck, what would he do?
He gives kitten licks on the sunshine boy’s neck, trying to bait some reaction from the boy. The result didn’t disappoint him at all as it elicited a low moan from Meguru.
“S-Sae?! W-what are you doing…?” Meguru squirms, trying to get out from the other’s grip but the alpha is much stronger. He can feel his face is now redder and his body feels hotter, like he’s under the bright sun during summer while wearing layers of thick clothes. Sweats are dripping from his bangs and forehead. He feels so dizzy and something weird is happening inside his pyjama pants. It feels wetter with every licks and touch from Sae.
It feels….. strangely good…… It’s addicting. Sae’s touches are addicting. He unconsciously tilts his head to give more access for Sae on his neck.
As Sae is busy leaving purple marks on his neck while his hands roaming on his clothed body, it finally comes knocking on Meguru’s now hazy mind. He once asked his omega friend, Chigiri about heat because he's that curious about it. He's a beta and his parents are too, so he doesn't have any experience and idea about their second genders. And whatever Chigiri told him before is happening now to him. So…. he’s probably…... having his first heat………..? and does that means…..? that he’s an omeg—
A loud slap echoes.
Meguru is shocked by the loud sound and he turns his head backwards to see Rin is standing there with angry eyes and his hands shaking from anger.
Rin is about to slap Sae again and again before Meguru stops him by holding his arm. His legs already feel like jelly, but he needs to stop them from fighting again. “R-Rin, wait!!”
“What the fuck are you doing to Meguru??!!!” Rin shouts loudly at Sae, without caring that their neighbours might be sleeping at these hours.
Sae looks at him with a stern gaze, feeling annoyed that he was disturbed during his rarely alone time with Meguru.
“I’m leaving my claim marks on him, is what I did,” Sae responds with a cold tone. “He’s my omega.”
Meguru hears the nonsense claim from Sae and he quickly tries to calm down the situation despite his guts stirring up, making him feel like he wanted to vomit.
“No, I’m not an omega and surely not anyone’s omega okay? Please…. st-stop fighting….”
Rin is still full of anger but he turns his head towards Meguru who is trembling under him to confirm whatever bullshit Sae is saying. A strike of nice, delicate smell hits his nose and it sends Rin shivering. So Meguru is an omega……? and looking at his condition now, he’s probably in his first heat….?
Rin lifts Meguru’s chin up and stares eye to eye with him. There’s tears brimming on his pretty yellow eyes, and his face is flushed red as hell. Delicate…. so delicate…. so alluring…. so tempting……. so……..
A soft “Rin-chan…?” from the newly presented omega snaps the last sanity string in Rin’s mind. He dives down and their lips meet in a kiss.
“You fucker—” Rin can’t hear anything anymore. His mind is fixed on the taste of the omega’s lips. Meguru Meguru Meguru. Rin can only hear the sound of them kissing and soft ah ahs left the shorter’s mouth.
Oh lord, his lips taste so sweet and addicting, so why did I wait this long to kiss him, Rin thought as he deepened their kiss. He was about to put his tongue inside when suddenly Sae pulled him away from Meguru and slaps his face.
“You took his first kiss you shit—”
“You're the one who touched him first—”
“I'm his alpha and you're just a—”
“Go to hellll!!! Meguru is min–”
Their fight turns more heated. Since both of them are alphas, they try to intimidate the other by releasing more of their strong pheromones to dominate the room, showing which alpha is the strongest.
“Rin-chan….. Sae-chan……”
Meguru’s quivering voice takes their attention away from the fight. “It's hot….. Please help m-me….” Tears fell down the omega’s flushed cheeks. They didn't realise that Meguru is also affected with their pheromones dominance fight and he is already sitting down on the floor. He's trembling so hard and pools of saliva drooling from the corner of his mouth. He looks so…. small, tempting both the alphas and their dirty minds.
Rin who is standing near Meguru stares deep into the other’s teary eyes. The seductive eyes which are like begging Rin to do something to him.
Rin is thinking of something, and probably the same one that Sae is thinking too.
Sae is about to say something when Rin suddenly speaks. “I'm calling Yuu-san.”
