“Levi, c’mon. We gotta work this out. I can’t do this whole screaming at each other thing. Bickering I can do. Screaming matches, not so much.” You drop your hand from his elbow, half expecting him to walk off again but despite your surprise, he stays.
“We don’t do talking though.”
“Fair. But we don’t normally yell either.”
“I-” He hesitates at first, “This is stupid.”

In other words, Levi and you have known each other since you met long ago in the Underground but now that it's been a few years with the Scouts, feelings start to surface. Tension ensues as you both try to figure out how to communicate to each other how you feel.
